It’s official: Guys are doomed to become pansies by the end of the next decade.
A study, to be released tomorrow, indicates that a host of circumstances endangers the male gender, including male body washes, facial ointments, hair and clothing styles, wimpy little “green” cars, anti-smoking laws, and tiny bottles of liquor. The study, backed by some of the world’s leading scientists, warns that all men will lose their masculinity within a decade if the government does nothing to stop it.

I have a feeling this is satire. However it is a social commentary.
Step 1 to become a real man: Don't depend on Government.

Bailout alert. We must have a bailout immediately. If we are going to have to do all of that shopping we will definitely have to be bailed out. The previous bailouts, when we had the big bottles, could be done by our children, but this is drastic.

Doesn’t our government send thousands of young men off to kill people around the globe? What’s more manly than killing?
Now our manliness is to be allotted to us by the government? HA! There isn't a man among them to begin with. How the hell are they going to see we maintain it?

Hell, after a couple of months in Iraq, even a tiny bottle of alcohol would be frickin’ great!

This has got to be satire. I don’t doubt that the number of “girly” or “sensitive” men is growing at an alarming rate, given their indoctrination in the fuzzy-feely public schools of America, but the article implies that ALL men will fall to such depths within a decade “unless government steps in.”
Well, I’m in my late 50s and I can say without reservation that I will remain the neanderthal that I am (”neanderthal” is a term I have heard from some quarters to describe a man who can work with his hands building things and fixing things, who is physically active, likes the outdoors — particularly hunting — and will move mountains if he has to in order to provide for his family).

otoh I just bought a 2008 Mustang.
We saw a guy at least 75 years old driving an electric car with a bubble canopy well it was more like a golf cart and I said life is too short.
Obama is not the cause, but the symptom of America’s wussification.
We do a lot more than kill people. But you won’t set that on the evening news. If you’ve never worn our flag on your shoulder and walked a post, please refrain from such flippant comments. If you have, you should know better.

I could just cry.
I can personally vouch for this story (satire as it may be). Most of the 30 something and 20 something men in my office shave/wax their chests, trim/shape their eyebrows, talk about waxing their nether regions and get “Men foot treatments” (read Pedicure).
They look at me (a 30 something man who is well groomed and well kept but does NOT shave his chest and shape his eyebrows) as a caveman or something.
Mind you we are in TEXAS and all these men defined above are MARRIED men!! Yet, they are grooming themselves like San Francisco gentlemen.
So, this confirms my thoughts...men are considered men only if they smoke, drink and drive trucks/suv’s.
