A call by the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan to formally start a third intifada by carrying out suicide bombing attacks to “slaughter the Jews” in Israel has sparked widespread interest around the globe.
“This could be the breakthrough we need,” exclaimed Hamas spokesman, Imah Mohran. “With new leadership from the United States, a final resolution of the Jewish problem may be within our grasp. This is the change we believe in”
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said the proposal has stimulated sufficient interest to be “worth a closer look” and that the UN would likely debate and possibly vote on the measure in January or February of 2009.
In related news, UN official Mario Antonio of the Philippines contested allegations that the over 1,000 photos and nearly 700 videos seized from his office were pornography. “In many parts of the world people are so poor they cannot afford clothing,” Antonio claimed. “In some cases it is so bad that individuals are forced to eat food out of each others orifices.” The pictures are part of what he called his research for a forthcoming report on global poverty and the degradations it forces on people.
