Sources close to the Democratic leadership today disclosed that former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle was part of a previously undisclosed experimental program designed to evaluate new economic concepts. The program was testing the concept of the Individual Volunteer Tax Reduction Program, and initial indications have been promising, according to Washington insiders. "It's been a useful program so far," Tim Geithner stated on conditions of anonymity, "It's just a shame that the Republicans have made this program a partisan issue, by refusing to join. On the test committee, there was just Tom and I, and whatever other Democrats are, uh, exposed in the next few months. It's a shame that the Media is violating this necessary secrecy, when they could better serve the country by investigating more Marines."
Under the IVTRP test program, private citizens voluntarily determine how much of a tax reduction that they feel they deserve. By taking that individual reduction "above the top line" (by not listing the income at all, for purposes of program simplicity), they have provided valuable data, without the expense of hiring consulting firms. "Tom did a sterling service for us," a spokesman explained, "working selflessly in the service of research. But we've had hateful Republicans act as if he actually wanted this tax reduction for some personal reason."
The program is expected to last until no longer needed- once it becomes obvious that tax reductions have a detrimental effect.
Republican leadership, meanwhile, appear stunned by this latest development, and are apparently working hard to somehow rehabilitate themselves in the eyes of the public. "They'll have their work cut out for them, after Americans realize that the bulk of the individual tax reduction program work has been done by the Democrats," Daschle remarked. "We'll have to wonder how the Republicans can look Americans in the face after this report..."
This is satire, right? Can you provide a link?
OK Ron...Ya gotta post “Satire”, or “Humor” in the keywords when ya do this sort of thing to us. I read, and reread this in astonishment after looking the first time at the keywords and topic, and not finding a clue.
Bad Ron!, Bad Ron!...go to your room.
But it WILL be crushed by order of The One (piss be upon him).
Excellent piece, Ron. Caught the satire in the first two sentences. Keep ‘em coming. :-)
Bad Ron!, Bad Ron!...go to your room...."
You have to admit, if I signaled that it was satire, it wouldn't seem half as believable. The astonishing thing is that in today's environment, such is the case. You scan the New York Times and their surrogates, and you ask yourself, "This is all satire, right? I mean- this can't be real... can it?"
Thanks. My archives list shows how warped I've become over the 4 or 5 years of posts! (Satire & Parodies in Blue Font)

“...You scan the New York Times and their surrogates, and you ask yourself, “This is all satire, right? I mean- this can’t be real... can it?””
Agreed, but it’s precisely why you need to post “satire”, or “humor” in the keywords/topics. The Democrats, Liberals, call ‘em what you will of the MSM, and their sycophants in our Leftist Government provide daily doses of questionable sanity which cannot be labeled as “satire”, or “humor”. (I’m guilty of humor there having reversed the order deliberately)
I’m all for “satire” as I believe it is of great value in conjunction with serious grassroots efforts on the part of Conservatives towards the goal of returning sanity to our Government as soon as possible, thus our society, and as you intimate, and I state as fact (arrogant aren’t I) THEY feed us plenty of ammunition on a daily basis.
It was a good one, and please keep up the good work.
It’s a curious phenomenon about the left, they keep resembling satire. F’instance, during the raging gun control debate of yore, people said “next liberals will start calling for knife control, hahahahaha.” Well, they have. That’s one example among jillions.

Wow! Awesome. Where did you learn how to do that? Is there some circular that others got... that I wasn't on the list for? [Come to think of it- that's the story of my life!]
I seriously thank you for the tip!
Where do I go to learn these tricks?
