The Hawaii Department of Health has reversed course. They now admit that they do - in fact – make some vital records information available to the public. This admission reverses their prior response pattern indicating that “no information” could be released.

No doubt at all she was born in Indonesia. But I've heard these "Maya has COLB" statements, and have no source aside from Techdude. I hadn't heard that the Obama family said that Maya had a COLB - do have a link or source?

Maya is a United States Citizen, derived from her mother..unless of course her mother Stanley Ann gave up her US citizenship and we and the govt don’t know about it.

WND has multiple digital forensic experts that assert that the name Maya Kassandra Soetoro was originally on the COLB doctored for Barry’s “fight the smears” website.

Todays new info doesn’t go against that ,, no info on Maya was requested and none was produced. We have no way to compel disclosure of the document... and we don’t need it.

So this confirms what the divorce papers stated, that Obama Sr and Stanley Ann were married in Hawaii.

Probably so, although it would only seem logical that one can't file a divorce case unless there is a previous marriage. Nonetheless, there have been people on FR who purportedly know of exceptional cases where this does not hold.

Seems as if the key phrase in Ms. Okubo's response to KingsKid is "index data". The importance of this possible softening of the position of the Hawaii DOH all depends upon what the "index data" includes. We all know what the "golden nuggets" of the birth data are, so the mystery of O's constitutional eligibility will remain for now. But Okubo's letter might suggest that there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel.

KingsKid, please get to that Hawaii office ASAP with Ms. Okubo's e-mail in hand and see what you can see there.

I dug out a couple of family marriage certificates to check:

Nevada: no listing of "bride" or "groom" -- names of the parties only

Pennsylvania: no listing of "bride" or "groom -- names of the parties only

If not even a marriage certificate lists "bride" and "groom" and these labels are not found anywhere on a Hawaiian birth certificate, then I don't know what Fukino is trying to communicate.

again, just because one or more people lied to get a marriage application does not make it a valid marriage in the eyes of immigration law in the UK.

Do you think this couple went and registered their marriage in some government office..and if they didn’t then their marriage wasn’t a marriage???

Why don’t you people actually read about what it takes to get married back in the day in the tribes.

Again, THERE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE AN OFFICIAL Kenyan GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT SAYING THERE WAS A MARRIAGE.
Find just one law that tells you that.

You can chose to either believe there was a marriage or not believe it.
The fact that they lied on the marriage application DOES NOT MAKE IT A VALID MARRIAGE FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSES.

Why don’t some of you that continue to make this argument do something constructive. Go find the law that applies IF THERE WAS A VALID MARRIAGE AND SEE IF OBAMA WOULD HAVE TO REGISTER IF BORN IN THE US.
