Posted on 02/11/2010 10:52:12 AM PST by Patriot1259
I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with the 9-11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way....

Sorry, you spoke your true thoughts and now you will live with that truth.
Too late. You don’t get a do-over for a yes or no question.
She seems to be blaming Beck for asking the question.
Medina dug herself into a hole and now she continues to dig.
Too late. Glenn Beck did the Tea Party a huge favor here. We need to be more careful. JMO (as always)
I just listened to her interview with Glenn. If this response to her appearance on his show was what she really believed, then WHY DIDN’T SHE JUST SAY THAT?!
Look, I’m not in Texas and I have no dog in this fight but she should have just stated this answer the first time.
So believing that our government could have had a part in the 9/11 attacks makes a person a nut and not a viable Tea Party candidate?
You got THAT right.
With the likes of Van Jones and Rosie on board......yes.
Or does that make me a kook for even asking that much?
Why? Van Jones and Rosie are left-wing nuts who hate George Bush and thus blame 9/11 on him. However, I don’t hate George Bush (I don’t particularly like him although I voted for him twice) but have seen some very credible evidence that our government was complicit in the 9/11 attacks.
Who are you? You have posted some odd things today?
Would you post that credible evidence here for all to see?
My point was, just because the left hijacks an issue doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. In the past and present, governments around the globe, have been known to carry out atrocities against their citizens. Why would the United States be immune to evil?
I believe it had everything to do with Clinton giving up Bin Laden.
What is odd with my posts? I am reading the news and posting things I find of interest. If you don’t like what I’m posting, be my guest not to read my stuff. Why can’t there be humane dialogue on this site? It seems like when people disagree on here, the suspicion mounts and the tarring and feathering begins.
Give us your credible information that puts our government behind 9-11.
You mean “evidence” posted on the Internet?
You are comparing our Government to those who carry out atocities to their citizens? Go Away. Not even worth discussing.
I believe her now. I just think she wasn’t smart enough or quick enough to figure out the answer to a simple question on Beck’s show.
Not sure whether that will make her more, or less, qualified to those who support her, some of which appear to be 9/11 truthers themselves.
But it doesn’t seem to be a good thing either way.
Yesterday on another thread someone called her "Sarah Palin without the wink". Sorry, folks, she's not even in the same universe with Palin.
You have to understand that for some Tea Party folk, you have to be 100% hard core fundamentalist, pro-life, no-tax, kick-out all immigrants, all Muslims are bad, God-fearing, George Bush-loving, quad.50-owning, Sarah Palin-worshipping registered Republican. Anything just a little bit less than that and you’re just a left wing pinko RINO commie and you’re not invited. There’s no in-between. (The reverse goes for the left wing nut jobs who have hijacked the Democratic party).
Suiting up now. Flame on...
Blasphemous-traitor, Muslim loving America-hater.

You can’t be serious. Like fire doesn’t melt steel? Please take that act elsewhere. You’re dumbing down the entire site.
So bring it. Educate us.
The US is not immune to evil. But there is no credible evidence that the US purposefully had anything to do with 9/11.
If your argument is that the government could have done things to prevent it, that’s not “truther”, that’s just the truth, but is beside the point.
If you truly believe that the government, any part of the government, was part of a plot to help muslims hijack planes and kill thousands of Americans, and you further believe that Bush administration covered this up, you need to present evidence that doesn’t exist.
It certainly isn’t rational to believe — 9/11 is one of the most highly investigated events of my lifetime, so you’d need a gargantuan conspiracy to cover up government involvement.
“My point was, just because the left hijacks an issue doesnt mean it didnt happen.”
Absolutely right. But, it didn’t happen. Glad to clear that up for you.
No, I think it’s that the tea-party folks, who organized in support of limited government, tax cuts, and slashing government spending, don’t want their movement taken over by fanatics, idiots, and conspiracy theorists.
“I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way.”
Uh oh, this probably means that Alex Jones has now lost her support...She was a regular on his program and he was a huge supporter.
I don't. She answered honest and didn't expect this backlash. The truther stuff is why she was asked to the show. She had plenty of time to prepare.
Medina cannot handle tough questioning which is why she hums and haws....I am so glad she’s being called out! Thank you Glen Beck!! Now let’s see some more of that she has hidden.
Does that mean the government was active in planning, financing, and execution of that attack, of course not.
And all of the hokum justifications presented by the truthers could have been brought about by other methods, or even the simple fact that larger nations are always taking potshots at weedy ones. There wasn't really a need to murder 3,500 citizens to either invade Iraq or invade Afghanistan.
It is not unheard of. For example, it is widely known that our government committed mass sterilizations of people deemed “unfit” to reproduce. They also deliberately gave pregnant women radioactive iron tablets to see what would happen. However, to think they had something to do with 911 is preposterous.
Sorry, chief ... no do-overs. It was a simple question with a simple answer — “no”. Any sensible person would’ve said “no”, and moved on.
The fact that you didn’t say “no” means you likely lend credence to “truther” movement, and, even if you don’t, the fact that you weren’t bright enough to say “no” means you’re not bright enough for my vote.
Rick Perry will be getting my support — Debra Medina will receive no further consideration, and nothing she can say will change my mind.
If your argument is that the government could have done things to prevent it, thats not truther, thats just the truth.......
Yes, this is what I’m saying.....obviously this is a sore subject here on FR and I will say no more.
We're all patiently waiting.
"Well! We're waiting!!!"
Allegra that video just cracked me up! Medina sure does dance..fortunately truht overrode her side steps...I am very much grateful to Beck on this one!
