More Dunham passport documents (Dr. Conspiracy goes birther? "I suspect misconduct")
Obama Conspiracy Theories (blog) ^ | September 27, 2011 | Dr. Conspiracy

I reasoned that if President Obama had been born in Kenya, his mother must have been there with him at the time, and travel to a foreign country requires a passport. No passport, no travel to Kenya. To answer the passport question, I filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the United States Department of State on January 27, 2009, asking for records of any passports issued to Stanley Ann Dunham (Obama or Soetoro).

They returned one additional document, an issuance card associated with the 1967 passport renewal application previously released.

The wording of the letter is consistent with their finding a 1965 card and withholding it. It is also consistent with them finding an earlier card – and therein lies the problem with getting anything useful from the FOIA response.

I suspect misconduct.

I would not argue the point. I simply don’t believe he was born in HI, nor do I believe he was born in Kenya.

Proximity to Washington state and the university very shortly after his birth would seem more credible.

There have been suggestions that at the time there were many unwed mother homes near there.

Any honest examination of his birth story leads to the conclusion it is all a lie. And credibility has gotten worse over time.

He IS a FRAUD.

"The big question is: was the passport issued to Stanley Ann in July 1965 which she used to travel to Indonesia her first passport or was it a renewal of an earlier passport? If it was a renewal, then maybe she DID hold a passport at the time people claim she went to Kenya (or Canada?) to birth little Barky."

If this is a true record and not some faked hooey from our government, the 1965 passport application is a RENEWAL. She renewed her passports every 5 years so the previous one should have been summer of 1960. It's conceivable she got a passport after graduating from high school so the question is where did she travel on it?

(1) Didn’t I read somewhere that on one of Obama Sr’s immigration forms, he stated that Stanley Ann was in the Philippines?

Yes, in the April 27, 1964 letter it stated an unnamed wife, a US citizen, was in the Phillipines. If this wife is Stanley Ann, the 1965 passport renewal is consistent with a previous passport that has not been released. See page 21 of link:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/54015762/Barack-Hussein-Obama-Sr-Immigration-File

(2) Isn’t there a picture of a young Stanley Ann wearing a school uniform of a private school overseas, I believe Lebanon?

It's been discussed that this is the Collège Notre Dame de Jamhour,” a secondary Jesuit school in Beirut, Lebanon. However, some claim the school was an all boys school at that time though it is currently coed. I haven't seen concrete evidence of this nor have I seen any evidence of their uniforms or insignias in the mid 1950s.

Re: 1960...

There has been some speculation that the Communist-affiliated Unitarian Church the Dunhams attended in Washington state went on a “friendship mission” to Castro’s Cuba that summer...

“Yes, in the April 27, 1964 letter it stated an unnamed wife, a US citizen, was in the Phillipines.”

Note that this was hearsay by the INS official recounting what he says was either told to him by Obama Sr. or that he gleaned from some other source.

Given the date, April 1964, what knowledge would Obama Sr. have had about the actual whereabouts of Stanley Ann after the divorce proceedings in January and February of that year?

The INS was fully aware of the alleged marriage to Dunham and there is not any other hint of a marriage to a different woman prior to 1964 is contained in the INS FOIA other than to Kezia back in Kenya.

We know that the 1965 passport was not a renewal of an earlier passport. The regulations at the time stated that a passport could only be renewed once. Since a renewal application was dated in 1968 (based on FOIA documents), the 1965 passport it renewed was an initial issue.

That does not preclude her having an earlier passport. Meet the New Boss hits the nail on the head, though. The big question is whether Stanley Ann Dunham had a passport in 1961, and that question remains unanswered, although I think we will know the answer eventually.

While I do suspect misconduct on the part of the State Department insofar as they are dragging their feet, I do not believe that they made any false statements in the responses them sent me.

“I have to wonder whether even he has become tired of carrying Obama’s water. “

The Obama Conspiracy Theories blog now has 1,623 articles on it, and that is a lot, even when spread over nearly 3 years. Nonetheless, the birthers keep at it and there’s always something new.

As for the person who said “Dr. Conspiracy is a known liar and fraud,” that comment says more about the one who said it than me. I have a clear conscience that I have done the best I can to present the best information available and to present the evidence fairly. If anyone thinks I got something wrong, they are welcome to say so. I make mistakes from time to time and when I discover one, I fix it.

The byline on my blog (Fishing for gold coins in a bucket of mud) is important to understanding the blog and my recent comment on Stanley Ann Dunham’s passport FOIA. I am continuing to review birther writing to see if there is something valid — the “gold coin.” If the Department of State does cough up a 1961 passport issuance card for Dunham, I’ll publish it. That’s not what someone “carrying Obama’s water” would do.

“Dr. Conspiracy says he is following up on this discrepancy himself on the phone and it sounds like he might try yet another more carefully worded FOIA request.”

Filing another request is what the FOIA appeals officer suggested, but I reject that for two reasons. First, my original request was correctly worded to cover all records of passports issued. Second, it took me 32 months to get this far and I don’t want to start over with another 32-month trek.

No, if I can’t get this resolved through the normal administrative channels, my only viable option is to sue.
A lawsuit is a big step in time and money and not something to be entered into lightly. Plus, I’m a Christian and Jesus taught us to avoid lawsuits.

Of course not! Just like the HI DOH used weasel words and foot-dragging to avoid making false statements regarding whether Obama could request and release his LFBC, or whether grandparents could make a false birth report to gain US citizenship for a foreign born baby which could result in the same newspaper announcements and short form BC on the record for Obama.

Now you, Dr. Conspiracy, appear to be having the same kind of suspicions of misconduct by INS that “birthers” have had about HI DOH and Obama misconduct...misconduct that let LTC Lakin go to the brig but which you have previously scoffed at, IIRC.

You regard yourself as a truth-seeker first and partisan second, as do I. Of course, we are both biased!

I have always been treated fairly by you on your blog (thank you), and you have been willing to discuss claims and evidence on the merits without ad hominem attacks, even though I disagree with many of your assertions and conclusions.

Fine. You are not “carrying Obama’s water _now_!

However your claimed generosity in allowing for the possibility that there might be a “gold coin” in the bucket of “birther” mud is not as open minded and truth-seeking as you seem to think it is.

“Birthers” were mocked on your blog but ultimately vindicated on the availability of an LFBC for Obama from HI DOH. During the three years of denial of that availability, not to mention the very existence of an HI LFBC, you “carried Obama’s water” by belittling “birther” analysis and claims, such as those by butterdezillion and Danae, that HI DOH and Obama were evasive, dissembling and dishonest in their public statements regarding whether Obama and HI DOH could produce his LFBC...IMO, of course.

Specifically, the last time I was on your blog, IIRC, I argued that FReeper Danae had produced what appeared to be credible proof that an HI citizen could still request and receive a LFBC. I regard your response to my arguments as "carrying Obama's water" and Danae has been vindicated.

More recently, I regard your assessment of the evidence assembled by Corsi (and being reviewed by Arpaio)as to whether the pdf "released" by Obama is genuine to be less than balanced.

Hi Dr. C!!!

You said:”I make mistakes from time to time and when I discover one, I fix it.”

Then, you need to apologize for calling me a racist and threatening to ban me for doing exactly the same thing as you Obots were doing. Because that was just plain wrong.

Noooo...

Jesus said no such thing.

Paul wrote that Christians should not sue one another but rahter settle their differences out of court. Believer vs. believer quarrels reflect badly on the church.

Not applicable in this case.

...But it is worth noting that the passport issued in July 1965 was NOT issued in the name she was then using, Stanley Ann Soetoro...

MARRIAGE DATE: March 15, 1965

MARRIAGE DATE: March 5, 1964

APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF Passport issued JULY 19, 1965.

------------------

TWO previous marriage dates, she's grown five inches taller, the divorce from the kenyan was finalized March 20, 1964.

Lolo Soetoro also gives a March 1964 marriage date, although he couldn't recall on what DAY they married...

Seems obvious why prior passport data' have been destroyed' doesn't it? What might prior data have revealed?
