Obama could single-handedly nullify the 2nd Amendment

When Barack Obama signs the United Nation’s Arms Trade Treaty late this month, the force of his signature alone could suffice to nullify the 2nd Amendment rights of the American people.

How is this possible if a 2/3rds vote by the Senate—that is, constitutionally mandated ratification– is required before the United States may become a legal party to any treaty?

Interested Americans have been told that the Arms Trade Treaty will regulate the international trade of conventional weapons, the purported goal being prevention of arms transfers to rogue or terrorist states.

Naturally, one would think regulations intended only to manage and restrict the trade of weapons to dangerous, warlike or terror-supporting countries couldn’t possibly threaten the constitutionally protected right of American citizens to keep and bear arms.

However, in order to prevent the accumulation and export of possible contraband weapons, the Treaty mandates creation of a global arms catalogue– an international registry detailing the existence, history and ownership records of all conventional weapons.

Every sale, every transfer of a weapon within the borders of the United States would be contained in this registry. The left have dreamed of such a national gun registry for decades and this would give it to them.

How could the gun-grabbing Obama Regime impose this clearly anti-2nd Amendment, Treaty-mandated arms registration scheme on the American people without the Senate first giving its advice and consent?

“When a nation signs a treaty it is obligated to refrain from actions that would defeat the object and purpose of the treaty until such time as it makes clear its intent not to become a party to the treaty.”

This is language from Article 18 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties. Adopted in 1969, 111 nations have ratified

There are going to be a lot of firearms collections lost in unfortunate boating accidents.

The treaty signed by that POS Fascist dickweed Obama cannot supersede the Constitution...I guess he can try, but lets see him enforce it...by the power of the executive branch only...

The Senate needs to ratify to give the treaty the legal power to impose it's regulations...THAT isn't going to happen...

Obama has had a ‘damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead’ attitude and he’s trampled the laws and Constitution already on his way to getting what he wants. There’s been lots of speculation as to whether he will sign this or not .... pundits seemed to be leaning ‘not’ with the election looming. I think after Aurora he’s going to do it - he’s determined to accomplish his ‘take down America, get gov’t control over the people’ objectives (going after Obamacare rather than dealing with the economic health of the country, etc.) & destroying the 2A would be as big or bigger than Obamacare .... I don’t think he’ll be able to resist. I don’t think the motivation will be to throw ‘red meat’ to his base, but that would be a side effect - get them energized that he’s “doing something” for them.

In addition to this plan to take away our guns Obama and the UN also have:

1. a similar plan for the UN to take over administering the Internet.

Where's the outcry on the U.N. push to regulate the Internet?

A regulated Internet regime would disrupt the global free flow of information and commerce. So where is the business opposition to the United Nations’ effort to control the web?

By Nina Easton, senior editor-at-large

FORTUNE — The bureaucrats at the United Nations, prodded by developing countries and exemplars of democracy like Russia and China, have hit on an enticing new way to control global communication and commerce: They want to regulate the Internet

2. A plan for the UN to tax us.

Obama should be nullified and be given 10 days to vacate the White Hut in order that it be fumigated and otherwise cleansed for the new ocupants.

He is a traitorous dog (perhaps though he’s just a foreigner who has intruded into the White Hut and should be given an appropriate sentence for all he has put this nation through) and is America’s #1 enemy~

Vote for Romney, because he’s NOT OBAMA!

Well... I think it already is happening.

I expect that, on Dec 21, 2012, we will finally see 'the end of the world (as we know it)', when it is made public that we are under the rule of a Socialist Dictatorship.

There might be a lot of homes lost (torn apart, burned down, blown up) in unfortunate military weapons searches under the watchful eye of heavy ordnance and orbiting air assetts, too.

Don’t think for a minute that this gang of fascist thugs isn’t capable of massive population relocation - or elimination - should they choose to quit the incrementalism and cut to the chase.

“Moulon Lav’e”? “Cold dead hands”?

Oh yeah; that can be arranged, fellas.

Just wait for the Obongo / Soros regime in conjunction with the Muslim Caliphate to drop the hammer on us and see if they care about our “rights” or “constitution”.

How many of Obongo’s Czars and gang members are known eugenicists who would be delighted to see about 50 million Americans exterminated outright?
Especially light complected, English speaking Non-Muslim ones who didn’t “vote right”?

I have a feeling that our Liberty - such as we have left of it anyway - is about to start costing us dearly... again.

I think we should all sign a pact reassuring Mr. Obama that we will hand over our weapons promptly....

AFTER we expend all of our ammo of course...

Unfortunately, it may well happen. As you know, Obama doesn't care about the Constitution...or for that matter, neither do most of the deadbeats in Congress. And by allowing Obamacare to go forward, it seems the Supreme Court doesn't value the Constitution either.

If the treaty doesn't pan out, Obama can always issue an executive order to confiscate firearms from private citizens. His eagerness to misuse the executive order to advance his own agenda is well documented. And so far, neither Congress nor the Courts have done anything to stop him.

Uh....... name one nation that has done so.

Both Russia and the US are signers of the SPACE TREATY, and I guarantee you that both nations have weaponized platforms in space. Have had for at least 25 years.

It won’t be them. It will be your friendly local SWAT squads. ATF, FBI, City Police, Sheriff’s Deputies, and Highway Patrolmen/women that come to take them. They learned when they inflicted obamacare on us, that we would not do anything except a little keyboard bitching and say “We gotta elect Republicans. Well, we elected Republicans and we still have obamacare. What have we done to convince them that we are to be taken seriously?

This is language from Article 18 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties. Adopted in 1969, 111 nations have ratified the Viena Convention.

The United States is not one of the 111 nations that have ratified the Vienna Convention. Thus, according to the "Coach is Always Right," Obama may enforce the provisions of an arms treaty that the United States has not ratified pursuant to the terms of another treaty that the United States has not ratified. Me thinks the Coach is Sometimes Stupid!
