According to new USA Today/Suffolk University poll the voter turnout next November will be around 1.6% less than it was in 2008. The survey found, Most of the non-voters would choose Barack Obama over Mitt Romney
A noted political expert thinks Independents will be chased away from the polls by the extremely negative campaigning from Barack Obama and the Democrats, and that is their goal.
He opines, One of the reasons the Democrats have been so much more negative thus far this year is that they are just trying to keep the independents at home because the polls suggest there is still a larger Democratic base still than a Republican base.
The truth is the polls dont suggest there are more Democrats than Republicans, in fact they tell us just the opposite and they have indicated this for a long time. Moreover, latest Rasmussen poll of generic preference for Congress shows that likely voters want a Republican Congress by a margin of 42/39.
Rasmussen survey of likely voters shows Romney leading 47/43 which reflects a continuation of the lead he took last week before he named Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential running mate.
indications are that the people who are not showing up this time are for the most part probably coming from the pool of new voters whether the young or others who wanted to be part of history by voting for Obama. They were one time voters the Democrats cant and wont get back.
While new voters are planning to stay home, a new Zogby poll is reporting 41% of Young voters aged 18 to 29 who will be voting plan to vote for Romney.
If this holds in November it will deliver 5% more of this group to the Romney/Ryan..

This will be a repeat of 1980.
From this article...

“To the Gen X’ers, blaming, complaining, finger pointing, excuse making and especially feeling sorry for themselves by Boomers and Millennials are like “nails on a chalkboard” and Friedman hasn’t said it explicitly, but has implied that Boomers and spoiled Millennials are on notice because of it.”
..are starting to realize "FREE" isn't free
Great news. Hopefully it will come true. Take that Soetorro!
I witnessed and interesting thing in the summer of 1984. I overheard a teacher explaining to another teacher that she had held a mock election and dagnabit if those students who she "just knew" were going to vote against Reagan, "were all FOR him!"
The bellyaching between both of them was priceless. They did not know where they had failed those kids.
Take the ad where Obama ends with, "Sometimes politics can seem very small. But the choice you face, it couldnt be bigger." Romney could ream Obama with this one. He could say something like:
"Obama is telling us he's politician. We all know that. Politics is all Mr. Obama knows - that and community organizing. Don't know whether he's worked at an actual job a day in his life (actually there's a lot about Obama's background we don't know). But what we do know is that America needs statesmen who care about the next generation, not politicians like Obama who just care about the next election."
I know that line has been used, but it's a good one and Romney could capitalize on Obama's own ads not to mention his actions with things like that.
Hey, would someone pass this along to the Romney camp - I think it's worth a look...
:)
Four years and the only "success" Hussein has to run on is ruining the economy and bankrupting the Country! That's why his ads suck (just like him).
Looking at these youth vote numbers, I am more convinced than ever that Obama is going to propose Student Loan Forgiveness sometime before the Halloween decorations go up.
I know quite a few extreme liberal (Read “hippies”) and they aren’t going to vote for Obama or Romney and all of them voted for Obama in ‘08.
