Either the Republicans adapt to the new electorate or they don't legalize illegal aliens and start enforcing the law vigorously. Which one do you think they want and the heck with you.

The new electorate will be changing Republicans' position on gun control, taxes, Income redistribution, healthcare, government involvement in education, foreign policy towards Palestinians and China.

All they need to do is initiate a new ‘bracero’ program, allowing them to work here & return home.

If the R’s won’t do that, then they need to have a loooong period of time where they may work but do not have the rights of citizens (no voting). And before they become citizens they must pass a very strict test on American history & the constitution & they must be able to speak the English language fluently. Failure on any of these means they must re-patriate to their home country. No citizenship.

Last summer we were giving migrant workers from Mexico welfare because there was no work for them due to the drought. I guess I was mistaken about the meaning of "Migrant". I thought they migrated to where there was work. Now the fruit growers here in Michigan are saying they'll need more migrant workers because the last bunch took their welfare and scattered.

They do this "Illegal Alien" scare to conservatives EVERY single time.

They get conservatives fired up, and then turn around and say, "you see those hate-filled nuts, they will kill your children if us nice Democrats don't get elected."

What part of they are LEAVING in droves don't people understand? If Conservative politicians can't appeal to America's immigrants or hispanic communities, then we will have dug our own graves. We ARE a multicultural society and need a President that can honestly embrace that concept like Reagan. Please don't fall for this ruse again.

We have a Representative in southern OR named Sal Esquivel. I heard him speak once where he mentioned a Bracero program his father had used. People were brought in, picked the crops, then sent home by the farmers that used their services. He specifically said that program is no longer available. I would expect a state rep to know.

We may have lots of programs, but do they make the farmers responsible for sending the workers back? Any program that allows the workers to stay & get welfare when there’s nothing for them to do is NOT a program in the best interest of either the farmer or the taxpayer.

I would like to know how many illegal aliens they will need to make up for all the Americans that decide to stay home on election day when they grant amnesty to a de facto 40 million illegal aliens. You don’t think they are going to follow the law and not vote do you?

We got 1.5 million defective voter registrations in CA now and no one can get a court to look at it. Seems they didn’t declare if they were American Citizens or not.

Go back & read my earlier post. Sal’s FATHER used the bracero program. (What was it you said about someone being stupid?) He was so impressed with America that he went home & applied for citizenship the LEGAL way, came to America & once he did so would not even let his children speak Spanish at home. He wanted them to be Americans. Obviously his father is the type of immigrant we want, & his son is a conservative, constitutional, tea-partying representative.
