Obamacare Needs 7 Million People Sign Up Or It Goes Under
INVESTMENTWATCH BLOG ^

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The Affordable Care Act website will be taken down this weekend so experts can try to fix some of the glitches in the system.

The website was unveiled in the beginning of October, and millions of Americans have been struggling to use healthcare.gov to shop for health insurance.

Not only are the users having problems with the system, but health insurance companies have also run into technical glitches.

Insurers say they've only received a handful of applications and they're getting duplicate applications, missing information and data without a time stamp.

Given Obama’s newly acquired power to expand the debt limit, this will be no problem. The Federal Reserve will just create some more money out of the ether and buy up whatever stock, equity, concoction is needed to pay the bills until enough dweebs sign up for it.

I hope you don’t get in an accident or need serious medical attention or you are screwed. Not a good idea.

Obamacare Needs 7 Million People Sign Up Or It Goes Under

They need 7 million of the right people. If everyone who signs up is in their sixties getting below market rates which are subsidized based on their incomes on top of that, the system will crash even faster (crash being defined as Obama standing up and demanding immediate replacement with a fully socialized system). They need people in their twenties paying above market rates with no income subsidies.

“Christian healthsharing ministries is the way to go for us.”

This is something I’ve never heard of. Is it open to the public? (I’m in a capital city that hasn’t elected a Republican since before the Civil War. There are churches, but I think they double as ‘family planning” outlets and possibly demonic recruiters.)

My family uses Medi-Share. It’s exempt from the unaffordable scare act.
I pay $258 monthly for my family of 5.

The Reps should not fall the phony metric of success, i.e., the need for 7 million enrollees. That number will be reached as more and more employers drop health care and force their employees into the exchanges.

The real metrics should be the costs (premiums, deductibles, and co-pays) and access to doctors and hospitals compared to what is available now. There is no doubt that the 7 million number will be reached eventually.

And let's get the numbers on the number of new Medicaid enrollees who will be funded by the taxpayers. The objective is to get more and more people into government programs ala food stamps.

Must be able to sign the statement of faith.
Must be an attending member of church whose pastor will agree with the statement of faith.
The monthly contribution depends on family size (up to 4+ children), and is very affordable compared to insurance premiums.

You pay the first $300 of any need.

“Not a good idea.”

Formerly, when unemployed I would get a catastrophic care policy. I actually used it once and it was an incredible savings. But Obamacare has made this type of policy illegal. To get the lowest level policy I’d not get any prescription benefit and I’d have $10k out of pocket. So, that’s $12k for the policy and $10k out of pocket or $22k when I’m not making any money at all. Yes, I might qualify for a subsidy, but I don’t think that YOU should subsidize my medical care. The quicker Obamacare is reversed the sooner I can get back to work.

Seriously now, how would anyone know?

This administration throws numbers around like popcorn. They fudge every metric and stat and have for years.

Nothing is reliable.

If they don’t get the requisite 7mil, does anyone think they won’t claim it has been accomplished anyway?

Wait 'til Obamacare starts scheduling surgeries, tests, procedures. Wait 'til Obamacare starts checking for drug incompatibilities, dosages, etc. Wait 'til Obamacare starts doing the real medical stuff.

Currently, the Obamacare website just matches up people with participating health insurance providers, who already have long experience with dealing with doctors.

The fun will start when these health insurance providers increasingly discover that the only people who've signed up are those with expensive chronic conditions, whose cost of service greatly exceeds premiums paid. As the losses mount, the insurance providers will have a choice between limiting treatment options, or going bankrupt.

What happens when somebody has "health insurance" in theory, but in practice no doctors able to see him for the next nine months?

One upside to all of this is that working Americans will go to healthier life styles so not to have to go to the doctor.

I think a disinformation campaign is in order.

That is, start the rumor that “Anonymous” has hacked into the Obamacare system and sabotaged it beyond repair. Even put in viruses that will attack any computer that accesses the website.

Obamacare’s NOT going to go under. This regime isn’t committed to populism, market forces, or any other thing that even pretends toward people making their own decisions about what’s good for them or not good for them.

If they don’t get 7,000,000 enrollees, then they will register 7,000,000 anyway. In fact, they will blow that goal out.

The 2014 tax form will be a defacto application for the 18 to 25 year olds, and their enrollment will be withheld. When people complain about it, they are going to quote Roberts and say, “Even Roberts said it was a tax. What did you expect?”

They are going to get their enrollees, voluntarily, or by conscription.

You don't know much about human nature, I'm thinking. Sounds logical, but it won't happen. Most of us that have medical issues requiring periodic medical attention didn't get there by way of lifestyle.

Sabotage? This would mean that the programmers were competent. There is little evidence of liberal competency. Anyone who can see the magnitude of contradictions in this ill thought-out fustercluck could see that there could be no other result than this.

So are those who are enrolled in Obamacare and they have to meet their deductibles. Who will be able to afford serious medical attention when most of their savings will go to pay the increased premiums? Not the struggling middle class.

That really sucks. It sounds like you just need is a catastrophic policy which they conveniently implemented. Not to get off topic but why the hell would they outlaw such plans? I am a bit dense I guess and I just don’t get it.

Might be a moot point anyway. Over time I don’t see any of these healthcare providers surviving. It eventually folds into some single payer “wait in line” crap. I dont see them killing obamacare but rather morphing it into something even worse. There are just too few Cruz types to prevent it. We’re all so screwed.
