Report: Ebola Suspected In Europe: “Broken Through All Containment Efforts”
SHTF Plan ^ | 4/20/14

Though officials at the World Health Organization are feverishly working to stop the spread of the Ebola virus in what is now seven African nations, their efforts may be for naught. In Guinea, a hot spot for the deadly contagion, government health officials have said that the outbreak is nearly under control. Yet, Reuters reports that the government “planned to stop publicly releasing the death toll to avoid causing unnecessary panic.”

But panic may be in order.

Despite the best efforts of emergency health workers it appears that virus may have crossed out of Africa into Europe.

I don’t know much about pandemics. So far the CDC and the WHO seem to do a pretty good job of keeping that stuff isolated. Hopefully it will be contained to a few spots and wear itself out.

My wife asked me if I thought we should have another baby.

I said, “Slow down there love, the legs are still in the freezer. Let us finish this one first.”

I guess I picked the ideal time to relocate my household out of the big city. I should have done this many years earlier.

Unless it somehow becomes pulmonary, it will eventually burn out, because contamination based plagues hit a brick wall with hygiene and public sanitation.

Ironically, the most vulnerable people in Europe to this are the immigrant communities. For example the gigantic, and prone to riot, ghettos surrounding Paris and other French cities.

At least we know that in some fetid, burning pit in Hell, the late genocidist, Eric R. Pianka, wishes he could be alive again, to help the disease spread.

Wow.

If true, we have a huge problem. Dear God.

It depends on the area. I got to experience the H1N1 flu up close. It sucked, but they didn’t admit me.

Honestly, I think they should have. My fever was such that if not for a lot of asprin, tylenol, and Advil I wouldn’t be here today.

Those laws are in place so we don’t end up with another Black Death.

But that’s just me.

Personally, ban yourself by not clicking on the thread.

How would I know it was a non-credible source before clicking on the thread? The comments tab, which I use, doesn't show the source.

You were the one who a couple of months ago locked yourself in your home for a week in Texas because of a couple of influenza cases at the hospital down the road LOL.

The Reuters report has absolutely nothing to do with Europe.

Unless of course they were exposed to it before they were quarantined in which case, they and their entire family will likely die regardless of how much food and water they have.

Ebola has a 21 day incubation period, yes you die quickly once the symptoms appear, but for 21 days prior you are infected and potentially infecting others.

It is spread by contact with blood or liquid, and not airborne? I don't know but am just asking the question.

Its spread by bodily fluid contact, but not just blood. As I understand it once the fever starts, contact with ANY body fluid is enough... Not just blood. And you can also get it from touching a contaminated surface, doesn’t need to be direct contact with the infected person.

Yes it is not airborne fortunately, but the idea of quarantining a folks would protect them, true, it would from a greater public health setting control the spread, but if you were already infected when put into quarantine, like confined to your house, you would likely infect others in your home.
