The elongated skulls found in Paracas, Peru are very interesting. Several of them have red hair and DNA testing revealed Eastern European ancestry along with some Middle Eastern bloodlines.
They are between 2 and 3 thousand years old and some researchers believe they are not the result of head binding due to the absence of sagittal sutures and bone volume.
It's a bit of a mystery.

Mitochondrial DNA is from the Middle East is what I’ve read.
Seems like in Peru/Ecuador/Bolivia these skulls are found a dime a dozen.
