HARARE, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Villagers took revenge on a lion that killed their livestock by barbecuing and eating it, Zimbabwe's state-owned Sunday Mail newspaper said.
"It ate our animals, so it is only fair that we eat it too," a villager said. The paper said some believed they would get lion-like bravery and strength from the meat.
The lion -- part of a pride that terrorised the Zimbabwean village for more than six months -- was shot dead by parks authorities. In an unusual move, villagers demanded the carcass.

"You ate my livestock, so I'll eat you."
Nice bit of vengeance to it.

They do, and can.
But the irony of it is amusing.
But I do hear tell that bear can be greatly improved in flavor.
Eaker, Humble, predators and scavengers , don't they usually taste terrible?
I seem to recall something about that, but will defer to yourknowledge.
Seems some village got vengeance on a lion that ate their livestock.

I've eaten black bear. The trick is soaking it in ice water for several days with frequent water changes.
It made a fine stew.

Lion farts are reportedly the grossest farts on earth. You could not pay me a million bucks to have a lion steak.
