Deleting "Pings"
10/06/07 | Learner

Posted on 10/06/2007 6:01:53 PM PDT by learner

How do I delete items from my "Ping List"? Sorry to bother you with this, but I looked everywhere and could not find any help. I am trying to get rid of a lot of old stuff here and elsewhere on my computer and your server.

Thanks,

Learner.

I don't exist lol. Just testing the strike through type.

The Ping list must be a bit how our records will look up in heaven or H-E-double toothpicks :-). Although a bit longer. When we see them there is much we wish we could delete.

Also, if you ever experience slow internet speed, paint your modem red.

That won't work without the painted flames...

Indeed -- in addition, you can't just use any old red - it's gotta be candy-apple red too.

You can use a white racing stripe down the side, in place of racing flames, and rims...you HAVE to have the rims. My modem looks like this one:

Your pings, along with each and every keystroke you have made since purchasing your computer are all part of your PERMANENT RECORD, which is kept by Sister Mary Moses of The Burning Bush (All Lit Up) SSND.

She is the chair of the PERMANENT RECORD Committee, which includes Sister Mary of the Steel Ruler, SSND, Sister Mary Immaculata of The Holy Tree of Jerusalem, SSND, Father Howard Feeley, CSC, and Sister Mary Elephant, C&C, UIS.

Petitions for changes to or deletions from your PERMANENT RECORD may be submitted to the above, accompanied by notarized proof of your completion of three Novenas and five continuous hours of meditative penance in front of a Monstrance.

By the way, your FR User ID has been added to the PERMANENT RECORD Ping List, from which deletions are not possible.

How do I delete my old socks? You know, when they get holes in them and stuff?

I need some room in my sock drawer.

There's nothing worse than socks with holes in them. Well...maybe a blue-haired old lady who tries to stick her tongue down your throat, but I digress.

Highlight the socks with your cursor, then hit "Delete." Hint: It's in the group of six buttons to the right of the typing keys.

If you highlight your socks and hit Delete, they will only be transferred to the Recycle Bin. You’ll still be stuck with the socks.

Hold down the Shift Key when you hit Delete, and they’ll be gone.

Nothing I have ever read on the 'net would qualify as a diamond...maybe moisonnite...but not a diamond.

Isn't moisonnite that fake gem they make out of used Kleenex?

Nah, I don't moissonite is made out of used Kleenex. I don't know of anything that is actually made of used Kleenex. But I do know Johnny Stucker in Airplane made lovely flowers of them :)

Hmmm. Maybe, then, you were meaning Moissanite? Easy to get the two confused.

As I see it - you just added 58 posts to your ping files. Good work there learner!

(I happen to understand your conundrum - I deleted all my FReepmails, *inbox and sent* as spring cleaning. It was a stupid idea!!!!)

You have to return
your PC to the maker.
They will trans-ship it

to Chinese experts
who will clear out the innards
and then return it.
