Cops Arrest Gator-Carrying Bicyclist (Around His Neck)

A Louisiana man riding a bicycle with an alligator around his neck was arrested after he dropped the reptile on the ground and ran off as police approached.

St. Charles Parish sheriff's deputies said they spotted Terron Ingram, 38, riding his bicycle with a 3-foot alligator around his neck Friday in Boutte. The man tossed the gator and jumped off his bicycle when he saw authorities approaching him to ask questions, The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune reported Thursday.

Capt. Pat Yoes, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, said deputies do not know where Ingram obtained the alligator.

"We don't know what his intentions were," Yoes said.

Ingram was arrested and charged with cruelty to animals by abandonment, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and other charges. He was being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Alligator Control Officer Kenny Schmill said the gator was not harmed and had been released into a marsh near Bayou Gauche, La.

Hey Captain!.... It's South LA. Gators are not exactly hard to find.

What a maroon.

"St. Charles Parish sheriff's deputies said they spotted Terron Ingram, 38, riding his bicycle with a 3-foot alligator around his neck..."

Well, it's certainly a lot easier than riding around with a rattlesnake in your pants.

Ingram was arrested and charged with cruelty to animals by abandonment,

So you have the alligator - VIOLATION

You LEAVE the alligator - VIOLATION

Is there anything they won't write a ticket for?

An alligator is drug paraphernalia?

Yeah, but it's really tough to keep them lit.

Probably was going to be ticketed for having a dangerous weapon that is larger than the ATF will allow.

We filled his head with cannonballs
And powdered his behind
And when we set the cannon off the gator lost his mind...

After all, this happened in New Orleans. Ironic that this has been posted. I had deep fried and beer battered alligator for dinner tonight...yummy!

The gator wasn’t harmed, and they turned it loose; but he was arrested for “cruelty” by ABANDONMENT?!?

They can abandon it, and it’s fine, but if he abandons it, it is cruelty.

Okay, I think I still don’t understand now.
