Am I the only one that notices LAZY ignorant people?

Man oh man. What is happening to our society? Where are all of these people coming from all of the sudden? People parking in Handicapped spots that walk completely fine and then pull down the placard as they drive away. Ignorant people that cut in line at the deli, amusement park or shows. Parents on cell phone calls as their crazed kids run around uncontrollably. I ain't perfect, nor am I one of those people that said "when I was young..." Because I feel a lot of these teens have more "manners" than most adults and younger kids. WTH is going on? There is no shame and when you confront these people they completely act as if you were not there and ignore you! I find it amazing and it is getting worse at an alarming rate. Does anyone else notice this?

d. I asked how old he was? She said he was 3 1/2. WTH!!??? This stupid woman is hanging out in here freaking tent while her toddler is missing on a HUGE beach rather than running up and down the dunes screaming his name, asking people to help or getting the lifeguards to help.

This may be an extreme answer, but it is an indicator of the true answer:

You are witnessing the fruits of the steady moral, spiritual breakdown this country has been going through for the last 30 years.

Spot on.

Don’t knock lazy people. Most of the cool things in your life, including the computer you’re sitting in front of, were invented by people too lazy to do something the old way,

>>It is the curse of a wealthy society that people are allowed to become lazy. In the old days, there wasn’t enough money to support the lazy so they either worked or starved to death. Now we have enough money to be “compassionate.”<<

Close. “We” might have a lot of money, but only a small percentage of people actually EARN it. People who work on’t exhibit these behaviors. People who get money without working are the culprits.

It isn’t wealth — it is wealth distribution that prompts these behaviors.

It’s so bad around here I notice parents taking control of their kids (IE kids that listen to them and follow directions) the out of control ones are everywhere (except in my store. I kick them out. bull in a china shop comes to mind)

Both of my kids are autistic. Both listen to me and follow my directions when we are in public because both know. if they don’t. it’ll be a long time before we go out in public again ;)

These are as well. I can see the markings. These people do this regardless of the fact that the parking lot is nearly empty. They just simply seem to be either too lazy or just think that they are above parking in the lot with everyone else. It really aggravates me.

I am sorry to hear this, but when I told my findings the other day two of my parents friends admitted to abusing the handicap placard. Someone in their family is handicapped so everyone in the family uses (abuses) it.

BTW, I have a neurological disorder and I was told that I can get a handicapped license plate but screw that, I refuse to put a label on myself unless I have to use a walker or wheel chair. Judgmental? If I am right 99 out of 100 times I will apologize for that one time I am wrong other than that I refuse to be PC and let other rude, lazy people get away with this because of your PC BS attitude!

BTW, might I add, A lot of these people are simply over weight, lazy and are very easy to spot as fakes.I don’t need to get deeper into how i come to this conclusion but it is obvious.

wrong. it’s most likely a posted fire lane. I have called the police when people park in front of my store blocking the cut out for wheelchairs (I also use it to roll product out to customers cars) The police come and tag the car and tow it away if the owner does not surface fast enough.

"Well, I’m fine, but whenever I use a handicapped spot I make sure to fake limp into the store. Just in case..."

LOL. Limping is a useful skill. I've done it a few times when the local lieabouts focused on me. I can get the full Forrest Gump thing going if I just let my concentration slip. But after this September I'm an honest parker again. Ouch!

then pull down the placard as they drive away

The placard has written on it not to drive with it hanging.

In fact this post is from an AI 'bot with my sardonic attitude! Heinlein covered this idea beautifully in "The Tale of the Man Who Was Too Lazy to Fail‎."

My biggest complaint about handicapped stalls is summed up in two things:

1. There are tons of them and they are usually ALL empty.
2. They are the only open spaces in the entire parking lot.

I would also like them to raise the bar regarding who should get them. If someone uses a scooter they don’t need one. It just saves them battery life. I consider them pretty much a scam and would like to see them eliminated. We somehow survived before them. We could again.

Our firelane is painted yellow with signs every 20 feet announcing it’s a fire lane you better bet the police tag and tow. They’ve even towed the dry cleaners vans (business in the building) that park there to unload.

My business is rather safe where it’s at, dispatch is open 24/7 and their window to the world faces my building :)

Once upon a time I was standing at the door of a very large government installation. It was snowing very hard.People were getting off work and I noticed a beautiful, young lady walk out to the parking lot and straight over to a car parked in a handicapped space (if you’ve ever worked for the government you know that they have special handicapped decals and they are very hard to get) and start clearing the snow off the car. It really made me mad because I was gearing myself up to walk about two blocks in ankle deep snow (in heels yet) and then clean off my car! As I stood there a young Captain came by and immediately went to the young lady and started helping her! Now that really toasted me, not only did she have a handicapped parking space, but someone was helping her clear off her car. And then a man in a wheelchair came by and rolled out to where the car was, they helped him in it and he drove away while they were still walking to their cars. Lesson learned!

I got one for you.... I have heard of this, but this is the first time I have personally witnessed it.... I am in line at the gas station yesterday to grab some smokes and pop, and a woman is in line in front of me with a cute little girl...she has 2 mountain dews, a slushie for the kid and some candy bars for the kid...she whips out her bridge card ( debit card for food stamps here in michigan ) and pays for the goodies. Now, I am willing to pay for the candy for the kid if the card does not work, because every now and then a kid needs a treat. No, the card works and pays for it all.... I think nothing more of it, move up and pay for my stuff...as I exit the store, there is the welfare lady getting behind the drivers wheel of a BRAND NEW CADILLAC...I cannot afford a brand new anything, and both myself and my wife work!!!!
