Gutless move that will be hailed as “heroic” by those who would protest a “Book of Islam” stage play and movie...

I’m not LDS, and I’m not an admirer of that religion. However, it’s pretty gutless for these guys to pick on a faith that it is safe (and politically correct) to ridicule. Why don’t they show some courage and make The Koran: The Musical?

The musical has received general praise, even among Mormons. It is not the typical hack job on religion that we have come to expect from Hollywood/Broadway.

If it is turned into a movie it definitely won't be "gutless". Nothing they do is "gutless".

They had Mohammed in a bear suit. They only showed the first half of the two-parter because Comedy Central was gutless.

To me, these two have always been the shining example of ‘just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should.’

They’ve taken on islam several times (remember the times square bomber was targeting them) along with scientologists, catholics, atheists, hair club for men members, truthers, barbara streisand, George bush, Obama, Obama supporters, and peruvrian flute bands.

They trash everyone. The play made money, it figures they’d do a movie.

They had South Park ally with Al Queada and Osama to rid South Park of Snookie and the Jerseyites. One of their funniest episodes.

I’m sure they would have no problem doing that.

“Why don’t they show some courage and make The Koran: The Musical?”

Probably because no one would let them stage it. That plus the violence that would result.

I’d say those are good reasons. No?

Common theme of many posts on this thread.

Parker and Stone HAVE poked fun at Islam. They have been targeted.

I can easily say that Parker and Stone have taken a braver stand against Islam and against self-censorship or corporate-censorship of comments against Islam than anyone who denigrated them on this thread.

What have YOU done that would place you on a Jihadist death list.

Parker and Stone have most of us beat, in spades!

So, the fact that Islam is off limits because some Muslims practice intimidation and make threats of violence is a good thing?
