If you read the article, Carbonite thinks it would of been worse if they stayed with Limbaugh. Then another guy says that Carbonite is lying. So basically, just believe what you want to believe.

I’m not sure, but I think Snapple was bought out by another company and they wouldn’t advertise on Rush...hurt the snapple brand a lot..

Hope he also feels the sting of realizing he was duped by a liberal lie.

Amazon S3 (which I use as the backend for Linux deja dup) http://aws.amazon.com/s3/ rocks and I’m backing up about 20 Gig a month for about 3 and a half bucks a month.

There’s something to be said for the deja dup approach

Déjà Dup is a simple backup tool. It hides the complexity of backing up the Right Way (encrypted, off-site, and regular) and uses duplicity as the backend.

We only bought it because it was a Limbaugh sponsor. When they bailed out, so did we.

From the CEO:

... there was a lot of noise, I mean we had a huge spike in web traffic around that time just because of all the interest in the whole subject. And it took close to a month for that to sort of die down. And meanwhile our metrics were, we really couldn’t see what was going because there was so much noise around the website that we had no idea what the ultimate impact was going to be.

I saw this story the other day and started looking for a carbonite backup. So far backblaze looks good as a replacement.

The Carbonite CEO said it hurt more than he realized. Well, if Carbonite gives refunds, it's gonna hurt a little more when I cash in my nearly 2 years left on my subscription.

It was nuts on their FB page.
There were a few of us there advising they ignore the complainers.
If they’d have shut down the FB page and rode it out,
they would soon have realized that the storm was naught but a tempest in a teapot.

No sympathy for them.

I’m not sure, but I think Snapple was bought out by another company and they wouldn’t advertise on Rush...hurt the snapple brand a lot..

Snapple was purchased by Quaker Oats in December 1994 in an acquisition termed "one of the worst flops in corporate merger history."

Soon after doing so, Quaker changed the manufacturing process in ways that made Snapple (which I loved dearly) indistinguishable from weak Kool-Aid. The per-bottle price was not decreased, even though what used to be obviously tea (even had bits of tea leaves floating around in it sometimes) to something that was obviously colored water with a little bit of flavor thrown in.

I and numerous others stopped drinking the stuff within a week or two of the change. Within a couple of quarters the moans and groans from Quaker were audible all over the country. It was kind of satisfying really, although a cold bottle of the old Raspberry Snapple would have been a lot more satisfying.

I don't know when they dropped Rush as an advertiser, but I think it was round about that time.

Quaker dumped Snapple in 1997, 27 months after buying them. In so doing, they burned up $1.4 billion of their shareholder's money.

If I was on the Board of this publicly traded company, that CEO would be fired, like, yesterday.
No “golden parachute” - - just a kick in the ass.

No sympathy
for willful stupidity.
In my heart
that’s ok for now with my redeemer and I.

I mean, I forgive them and all, even they do not know, bc i figure that’s what HE would want me to do...
just now, and I have an eternity to learn this better, it’s not some final word and all, but for now?
Best I can do with his help.
Good better best
NEVER let it rest.
Till the good is better,
and
the better’s best, what i say!

Good screw carbonite for making a bad business decision based on fleeting emotion. Let them endure the consequences.

Yesterday will come on, in too many morrows for our satisfaction brother, since they ain’t that smart.
I take comfort in our truth.
Truth is that which does not change.
However slow it appears, it will out. I have faith in that, though it pains me so greatly right now in this physical sheath that I carry.

My Body, My Choice, Your Money.

Hi: I'm a rich college slut that can't keep my legs closed for more that three hours at a time. Therefore, I demand that you tax payers pay for all the condoms that I need so that I may continue being a slut.

After all, being the slut I am, and speaking for all the other sluts out there, WE should be protected by the ADA act. Being a slut is not easy. It requires hard work. Thus it is a health issue needing enforcement under 0pansyCARE. If you disagree with me, or the 0pansySlutsForTheUSA, then you are a racist, hate 0pansy, and are nothing more than those, clinging to your guns and religion haters of society.

Long live the sluts. Oh yeah, sluts like me also like abortions too. WooHOO, 0bammy is great. Long live 0bammy. (this sentence was s/)

Redshawk: This could be true. 0pansy wants it true.
