From a genitalia-headed fish to a two-faced catits been a weird and wild year at National Geographic. And for our weird fans, weve rounded up our editors picks for the ten oddest stories of 2012.
Coming in as tenth weirdest is the housefly-size frog Paedophryne amauensis (below), the worlds smallest known vertebrate.

At an average of 7.7 millimeters long, the frog is a hair smaller than the previous record holder, the Southeast Asian fish species Paedocypris progenetica, whose females measure about 7.9 millimeters, scientists said in January. Full story>>

whenever I see “genitalia-headed” I automatically think Harry Reid...
He does have a certain scrotal look about him.
We had a 2 headed calf born to one of our cows this year but I guess that isn’t weird enough to make the cut. Actually it didn’t have 2 complete heads, it had 2 faces, 2 mouths, 2 noses 4 eyes and 2 ears. Oh yeah, we forgot to call Nat Geo, darned missed our chance. It’s not likely to happen to us again anytime soon.
Two sets of “hands”? He can snack on mice and errrr, at the same time. Needs a boltcutter trim on those “bottom nails”. LOL.
Reminds me of what my boss used to say when things turned out well for me.
