After 10 years of satellite archaeology research I decided in August of 2012 to seek help for my work from the public with a press release. The goal of this public outreach was to get help ground proofing two sites I had found in Egypt via Google Earth, to see if they were possible pyramid complexes that had remained undiscovered. The Discovery News website was the first news outlet to pick up the press release and publish the full, intact story on August 10th of 2012.

Yes, once we got rolling, it went very fast. For me, it’s the getting rolling part, but this one wasn’t so bad.
LOL!
What was the ZoT! about? was it because of the Snowden remarks?
Not sure. Posting history isn’t so bad, so it may have been a retread. That’s an instant hanging offense.
Bragging about a Top Secret security clearance?
The Snowden remarks are certainly a possibility as well, but only the mods know for sure.
Maybe you’d like to check your FRmail NOW,
LOL!
Yeah, I looked back through his history and nothing besides the Snowden stood out :p
I trust the kitties though ;)
(and thank you for the ping, as always :))
LOL
Wow, now I feel special! :’)
My pleasure as always, friend.
Did my ZOT post mess up your thread, Mr. Civilizations?
Sorry!
You’re very special to me, sir. :)
No, that’s what I was getting at — I’m somewhat sure that one of those excellent smokin’ zot pings had never previously been in a GGG thread. I’d been feeling neglected. :’)
I love her shoe/sandal/strap thingys.
The unbifurcated Lorica Segmentata bodice/skirt aint bad either.
The site would be a lot more believable if the article didn’t take up half of its space with fund raising.
Careful, look where you are! ;’)
Oh my! Ursula is looking particularly beautiful today, Sarge!
Well, you are neglected no more, my friend.
It would be untoward of me to post random ZOT announcements on your GGG threads, I suppose.
Sigh...
There is a hour long program that has been running on cable about this young female Egyptologist who has been mapping literally thousands of ‘lost’ and unknown sites using satellite images.
She has attracted the interest and approval of some better known archeologists for her work.
Some of these sites she found have been explored and tested very minimally because of a lack of funding, but the results of things like test drills have found artifacts in the cores.
It is a very interesting show.
