If the "cat" fits... wear it!

That's presumably what staff at an Indiana bakery say — after they confused the word with "cap" and inked a cute kitty on a graduate's portrait cake.

Carol Gambrel, 59, was left in fits of laughter when, picking up the tasty treat, she saw a cat sitting on top of her daughter Laura's face.

Title abbreviated due to length: Bakery's hilarious error sees 'cat' and not 'cap' placed on graduate's head on celebration portrait cake

I heard this on Sirius Radio (listening to Special Report's Grapevine). I've been giggling about it ever since!

The Mom got a cake worth more than all the “caps” in the world. Hopefully she’ll frame a picture of this and put it on the wall as a reminder of how even a “mistake” can be priceless.

At least the lady who ordered the cake could understand human error and get a laugh. how many other people would run to a lawyer?

I had a job in college, laying out and setting type for sale circulars, Piggly Wiggly. They’d gotten in a shipment of rutabagas for a great price at the last minute. They told me to just put it in there tiny, Rutabagas, and price per pound. It ended up with “Tiny Rutabagas” in print, and they sold really well, lol. Might be still selling tiny rutabagas to this day for all I know.

We took a trip to New Orleans last year & actually saw a Piggly Wiggly!

At our local grocery, we always get a kick out of a sign over the carrots: carrots, baby. We always picture Mike Myers saying, “Carrots, Baby!” for some odd reason.

Their merch can be very regional, so being from away you might not grasp what all the fuss is about, you’d have to livr there for a while to get it. But, people do love “their” Piggly Wiggly, fiercely loyal.
