According to Howard, he was studying chemical engineering at New York's Pratt Institute when he had a disagreement with a professor over a complex mathematical problem: 1 x 1. We are not joking. Howard strongly believes that one times one equals two, and the media is lying to you about it equaling one. As he put it on a Rolling Stone profile on him:
"How can it equal one?" he said. "If one times one equals one that means that two is of no value because one times itself has no effect. One times one equals two because the square root of four is two, so what's the square root of two? Should be one, but we're told it's two, and that cannot be." This did not go over well, he says, and he soon left school. "I mean, you can't conform when you know innately that something is wrong."
Yes, he dropped out over the 1 x 1 = 2 controversy, and he's still passionate about educating people about their mathematical misconceptions. In the same article, he said: "This is the last century that our children will ever have been taught that one times one is one," he says. “They won't have to grow up in ignorance. Twenty years from now, they'll know that one times one equals two. We're about to show a new truth. The true universal math."

He must have went to the Louis Farrakhan School of Mathematics...................
Sounds like a Supreme Court candidate
That certainly sounds more impressive than "...Doesn't Understand Basic Arithmetic."
Now we know why he is an actor.......................
If 1 x 1 = 2, does 1 x 2 = 4? And does 1 x 3 = 6 or 9?
He ‘dropped out’ because his idiotic notion didn’t go over well? Was he expecting validation because he is black or something? No wonder he tried acting.
Now ya got it! 👍
Also, I’m White, Christian, conservative, heterosexual, male and love my country.....guess I offend all of ‘em.....and I’m GLAD I do.
He lost me. The square root of two is not one or two it is approximately 1.4142.
The square root of 2 is not 2. Nor is it 1.
The square root of 2 is 1.414213562373095 >>>>>
I have one apple.
I’m going to give you this one apple.
I’m going to give it to you two times.
Here you go. Here is your one apple, twice. We are finished with this transaction.
How many apples do you have?
Have to wonder if this guy’s accountant has a Lambo and a lot of expensive jewelry...
Correct. And that something is you, idiot.
If one cannot perform arithmetic, then that person absolutely cannot perform mathematics. No mathematics = no STEM of any kind let alone Chemical Engineering. If he had not dropped out, he would have very, very quickly flunked out.
That’s irrational.
That’s what Big Calculator want you to believe.
“multiply means to increase”
No it doesn’t.
How did he even pass elementary school?
Now, let's talk about the square root of negative 1.
Multiply Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster
Definition of multiply. (Entry 1 of 3) transitive verb. 1 : to increase in number especially greatly or in multiples
He probably is smart, he just has this weird tic. It doesn’t say he failed out of math, he dropped out, because of a “philosophic” difference.
