Cain Thanks Palin for Publicizing His Column
Time Magazine / RealClearPolitics ^ | February 23, 2011 | Scott Conroy

Herman Cain may be a longshot Republican presidential hopeful, but the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza showed on Tuesday night that he is a savvy enough politician to take advantage of some free publicity from a far more well-known potential GOP contender.

When former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin posted to her Facebook page and her Twitter feed a link to a column that Cain had penned for Investor's Business Daily, the Atlanta businessman responded within minutes to underscore the high-profile exposure by thanking Palin over Twitter and adding an additional link to his piece for anyone who had missed it.

Cain's weekly commentary that Palin publicized was titled "Merely Taking Positions Is Not Leadership" and began with a jab at the press -- a device that Palin is no stranger to employing in her own public comments.

"All the attempts by the media to make stories out of the budget battles going on in Washington, D.C., will not change the bottom line of how it will end up, no matter how many ways they try to create a story," Cain wrote. "Namely, the taxpayers will get stuck with more debt and more taxes again."

Cain went on to chastise President Obama's proposed budget while praising the leadership of Republican governors Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Rick Snyder of Michigan....

Here, once again, we have Dirtboy promoting censorship because he and others don't want to know how many times she has sold out on issues important to Freepers.

What are you and the blind worshipers of Ms. Palin afraid, Dirtboy?

BTW, did you notice that a similar article about Frank Bailey's comments about Palin's appointment of Morgan Christen to the Alaska Supreme Court PUBLISHED IN THE ANCHORAGE DAILY NEWS was also deleted by moderators shielding Palin from facing tough questions about her decisions?

yeah, i wish all patriotic Americans were as “useless” as S. Palin

What has she done other than find a way to make lots of money?

Back when she was mayor of Wasilla, she left the city $20 million in debt. She left the state of Alaska with debts equal to 70% of its GDP. She taxed oil companies. She vetoed legislation that would have stopped homosexual government employees from receiving same-sex benefits. She, with no remorse, appointed a former Planned Parenthood board member to the Alaska Supreme Court and has never had anything but praise for the judge.

Most of these Tea Party people WOULD NOT BE IN THE PUBLIC EYE if it weren’t for Sarah

Now, Palin worshipers are claiming she is responsiblef or the existence of the Tea Party movement? That is ridiculous. The movement was going to thrive if Sarah Palin didn't exist. It was spontaneous response to Obama's Marxism. She had very little to do with organizing the Tea Party movement.

Next, we'll hear that Sarah is about to find a cure for AIDS....

Sarah had a PAC to donate to the Tea Party candidates. What are you talking about?

Typical smear tactics by Palin worshipers.

No, as a conservative I have a problem with a politician that:

1) Runs up massive deficits every time she is in charge. She ran Wasilla into $20 million of debt before moving on to increase Alaska's debt problems. 2) Taxes oil companies. 3) Appoints and PRAISES pro-abortion, former Planned Parenthood board members to Supreme Courts. 4) Tweets support for lesbians like Tammy Bruce who are on the air supporting the repeal of DADT and Christian bashing. 5) Veto legislation prevent partners of homosexual government employees from receiving taxpayer money.

Why do you use that as a quote from Me when I never said that? Did you respond to the wrong post?

The rest of what you said in your post to me is a total crock, and unless you can provide proof you should STFU. You may be the biggest of the PDS liars, most of what you said has been refuted and you have had your ass handed to you multiple times, but you still don't give up. Please go post on a lib web site, they'll welcome you there.

Promoting censorship? You're a pathetic joke, a whiney little bitch. FR has long put limits on what can be posted here when it comes to liberal claptrap. Censorship is when the government tells you what can and cannot be posted. Freedom of association is as much a Constitutional right as freedom of speech. Jim said keep it up, and Ol' Sparky will no longer be associated with FR. As is his perorgative on his website.

Oh, and just because somethilng is published in the Anchorage Daily News, it doesn't make it any less of a pantload. Something conservatives understand. And you don't.

Oh, and I'm not a blind worshiper of Palin. I have my own concerns about her. I just don't think liberal crap is a normal means to discuss her possible candidacy. You apparently do.

So what other PDS crap are you going to spew, dipweed?

If Sarah is as bad as your portray her to be, if she is not a conservative, and if she is not a strong candidate as you insist, why would her influence be useful for the GOP or the GOP candidate?

If she is a weak candidate herself, why would supporting and campaigning for someone else gives the candidate in question a tremendous fund raising and strategic boost? If Sarah's campaigning does offer those types of advantages to a conservative GOP candidate, she must be a good conservative herself, or else she couldn’t motivate conservatives and bring their support with her public appearances and message.

She either is a strong conservative that can motivate conservative voters, or she isn't. Your logic is faulty, but considering a screen name like yours, I can only imagine that ol’ sparky fried any sense of logic and reasoning on your brain.

Because some conservatives are infatuated with her. They fooled themselves into thinking she is the second coming of Ronald Reagan, despite her less than conservative record and less than principled compromises on multiple issues.

The Palin worship is almost the equivalent of the Obama worship in the last election cycle.

Thus, if Palin tells her minions to get behind a candidate, they will do so.

This month's Misogyny Award goes to our very own FreeRepublic Ol' Sparky! Congratulations!

Look Sarah's supporters can blame the sexism card just like liberals!

Pssst...The problem with that contention is that I DO FULLY SUPPORT THE CANDIDACY OF MICHELE BACHMANN SHOULD SHE ENTER THE RACE.

BTW, YOU'RE A RACIST PIG FOR NOT SUPPORTING HERMAN CAIN!

Can you be any more ridiculous?

This guy is filled with deceit and lies.

He's hardly worthy of discussion.

Perhaps ridicule and derision would be better because of his agenda and closed mind, but my advice is don't give him any respect because he's not worth it.

Make yourself useful and buy a brain.

Whatsamatta...All you can do is flame and not address the five points I made about Palin? That figures.

Tell us how a woman that drove Wasilla, Alaska into a $20 million debt is going to solve the nation's debt problem? Tell us how a governor that ran up huge deficits in two years is going to do so?

Tell is why you think DADT will ever be reinstated if Palin is President when there is clear evidence that she supports gays in the military.

Do you think the sort of taxes Palin imposed on oil companies in Alaska is an answer to the nation's debt problems?

Thus, if Palin tells her minions to get behind a candidate, they will do so.

If that is the case, heck, she should run and capitalize on her minions by getting elected herself. If she has the same popularity as Obama did and all that worship, by all means she should run - she’ll end up winning. I’m all for it!

So, you're so intellectually inept that all you can do is flame and not address points?

Again:

Back when she was mayor of Wasilla, she left the city $20 million in debt. She left the state of Alaska with debts equal to 70% of its GDP. She taxed oil companies. She vetoed legislation that would have stopped homosexual government employees from receiving same-sex benefits. She, with no remorse, appointed a former Planned Parenthood board member to the Alaska Supreme Court and has never had anything but praise for the judge. She -- as proven by tweets supporting the rants of Tammy Bruce -- favored the repeal of DADT.

Why in the world should any conservative except such a flawed candidate THAT IS BURIED IN THE P0LLS IN BEHIND IN MULTIPLE RED STATES THAT ARE USUALLY AUTOMATIC WINS FOR A REPUBLICAN NOMINEE?

If that is the case, heck, she should run and capitalize on her minions by getting elected herself.

Palin is behind Obama by 11 in Rasmussen and 21 in a Fox News polls. Polls show her behind in South Dakota, South Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Tennessee.

In fact, she has such little general election appeal that Democrats and liberals are already organizing efforts to vote for her in open primaries.

The sad reality is that Palin's supporters are doing more to help Obama than George Soros, the Daily Kaos and the Huffington Post combined.
