TERRI'S FIGHT
(Daily Thread 2 - November 1-2, 2003)

Link back to thread 2 - October 30-31)

.

Contained in thread 2:

.

Contact information for the ACLJ, link for Chris Ferrara's legal brief, Senate Amendment to Terri's Bill, Ken Connor of the Family Research Council joins fight for Terri's Law, contact information for law enforcement and Judge Demers, Republic's impassioned letter to Judge Demers, Schiavo's claim that Terri's surgery was a success, link to CBN interview with the Schindlers (Oct 31), state's medical directors come out against Terri's Law, more links to testimony and legal debate, short bio on Judge Demers, update from the vigil and a doctor's exam report on Terri from 1990. Wacky Sam has also graciously offered to provide server space for documents to be kept to prevent their loss form other sources.

There is also a lot of discussion and links dealing with the seeming network of connnections between the girlfriend, Jodi, various insurance business links and possibly Terri's new doctor. In addition, several questions are addressed regarding Michael Schiavo's hiding of assets and tricks that may have been employed to throw off investigative efforts. Some of the FReepers have been doing their homework on the unholy alliances in the case. Let's keep working to connect the dots and expose the results. Also contained in thread 2 is some of Schiavo's litigious history, a bit more information on George Felos and more on Jay Wolfson. Some information on the doctors involved in Terri's case can be found on this thread as well. Since there are so many posts and links to the above mentioned topics, the best thing to do is to browse the thread.

.

Click on pic for Terri's website

This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.

If you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.

Thanks again to everyone for all your hard work.

We need to focus on getting the TRUTH out to every newscaster, every reporter and every talk show host in the country. We need to continue to focus on uncovering how many dollars at at stake here for Sciavo/Greer etc.

OPERATION RESEARCH and INFORM is under way.

I want to post this resource here for those of you needing ammo about removing feeding tubes from patients.

Denying patients food or water with intent to kill them is wrong

"By including artificially provided food and fluids within the category of treatment that a competent adult may decline, the 1992 Washington State Legislature passed a law that put food and fluids within the category of medical treatment that a legal guardian or surrogate may decline for incompetent patients who have not "executed an advance directive," or legally told the doctors how they want to be treated at the end of their life."

Please note in the above the absence of a requirement that the patient left instructions. Your state may also have a similar law in effect. Check with your local pro-life group.

The link also has an impressive list of symptoms experienced by those who are dehydrated to death. Do share when you have the chance. :-)

Can you list all the currently known connections between HINO and Thomas J. Jerger? It would be helpful to have a summary thus far and provide a better picture to those just becoming involved of us who are losing track of all the little details. Thanks.

I knew there had to be a connection between the Judge and the Guardian ad Litium - link!!!

News Report on Jay Wolfson -

Link to Bio On Judge Demers
http://public.fotki.com/Budge/terri/david_demerrs.html

Link to Jay Wolfson
http://hsc.usf.edu/publichealth/eoh/jwolfson/

It appears they are both professors at Stenson Law School.

And as stated in my previous posts Jay Wolfson is NOT an M.D.
He has masters Degree In Public Health, the "Administration" of Health

B.A., History,University of Illinois, Chicago 1973
M.A., History, New York University, 1974
M.P.H., Community Health Administration,
Indiana University, Bloomington 1975
Dr. P.H., Health Services Organizations,
University of Texas, Houston 1981
J.D., Law, Stetson University College of Law 1993

I would not want to go to Jay with a sprained ankle for a diagnosis, much less a life or death determination if someone can ever swallow again, or be re-habilitated. Anyway WHY does she have to "improve" to live? Isn't living on any level a basic human right? For crying out loud the guy isn't even an M.D.

The judge knew him, no doubt he knows his beliefs as well so that is why he was picked.

From Jay Wolfson's web site
he authored:

The Dangerous Financial Politics of AIDS Protease Inhibitor "Cocktails"

Journal of Health Care Finance
Fall 1997

Wish I could find that article! The title is very suggestive of it being "Dangerous" Financially to give drugs to aids patients. Wonder if it says, form a "Policy" perspective we are better off to not treat them and let them die? This is a giant leap on my part, however the title of his article doesn't sound positive to me if I were an aids an aids patient.

Generally you can sumamrize that the Public Health professionals always look to get the msot bang for the buck. They only have so much "Public" dollars to spend so they would rather spend XX dollars on vacinations for thousands than spend XX on sustaining high healthcare expense individuals. This has been my experience having been around Public Health Professionals for all of my life. The policy wonks and Administrators, [Not the M.D.'s who take the Hippocratic Oath, and nurses who are involved in direct patient care] they always tend to focus on saving $$ and limiting healthcare to some in order to benefit more people. It is typically ther job to manage the budget.

When you go to mmy Fotki site --

Read and follow the directions below first.

Under the photo is a link: "Get Origional Uploaded Photo" click that.

Once the larger photo loads and it still isn't large enough to read, move your mouse totally off of the photo, then back on. A short "menu bar" will appear in the top left corner of the photo, and in the bottom right corner an "enlarge icon" will appear. When you click on the "enlarge icon" you may have to move the photo around using the scrooll bars on the right side, and possibly the bottom.

To exit that photo simply click your browsers "Back icon."

It's a step in the right direction for the judge to take the guardianship FROM the HINO. Take heart everyone!

Great work on this thread everybody! Took me three hours to read through and catch up. My not-for-profit accountant friend and I did some basic looking at the HFS (Hospice of the Florida Suncoast) 990 returns and he will look at all dating back to '97. His initial reaction was that their financial reporting was 'creative'.

He's zeroing in on their mission statement and how that relates to their dealings RE software program development, etc. they use to 'fund' their for-profit business. Also that a great deal of their funding is via Medicare and how that ties into the whole deal. He was using 'accountant-speak' which, of course makes a normal person's head ache :-) Don't know that he'll find anything that's not already been revealed in the various lawsuits, but it's worth a try.

All HFS info is posted here. This excellent work is by the Hospice Patients Alliance, whose representative has been in touch with me. A quote from his email to me:

"What I do you cannot do; but what you do, I cannot do. The needs are great, and none of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful." - Mother Teresa

I certainly agree. This has to be kept in the national spotlight.

I emailed an editor last week about that "persistant vegetable state" that they keep printing.
I told him he needs to get his reporters to do some digging because what he was printing was not the truth and he was doing his readers and the community a disservice by printing it.

If we continually contact them perhaps they'll get it right because I'm really tired of seeing and hearing it.

If they can't get it right, we'll just have to keep after them until they do.

The poor sheeple who don't know any better are believing this garbage.

Until now, we have been urging editors to have their reporters do the research. Since this is apparently a low priority for most of them, I suggest we provide them with research and links. (Yea, that means do their job for them.)

Unless there was a financial incentive to keep her alive in that case!
