Despite what you may have read here, we aren't, for the most part, bad guys- just a little suspicious of new signups who parrot variants of that "uninsured" line or other DNC talking points.

Take a good look at Canada's and England's socialized medicine approach, then RUN like H away from kerry's reintroduction of hillary's socialized medicine plan. We in Tennessee have TennCare for our medicaid program. In less than 10 years of a 'gold' plated health care plan for the poor, Tennessee is facing bankruptcy as a state. Our dem governor is trying to get the situation changed, but the goody two shoes are screaming and have found a social engineering federal judge to block efforts to reform it.
Amen, my grandmother's death(due to cancer progressing) was directly due to the time she had to wait for a simple biospsy and further testing to determine if a growth she had was cancerous. Upon further investigation it was determined that if she got care initially and not 18 months later, the cancer would have been isolated--in that year and a half(how ridiculous is that?) the cancer spread and she died within 6 months of finally finding out. I'll never support socialized medicine ever based on that. That type of plan cost someone close to me their life. She was a strong woman otherwise, I can only imagine the years we would have had if she had been treated in a timely manner.
Rubbish..undecided voters usually are too busy wringing their hands and sitting on the fence to ever make a decision. I doubt many of them even end up voting since ultimately their indecision comes from not wanting to have to take responsibility for their choices ie I didn't vote for him or him, don't blame me. How someone can be "undecided" in today's world is beyond me. There are real threats out there, time to put the big boy pants on and take a stand.
People have given you plenty of reasons to be opposed to socialized medicine. The only free care it guarantees you is substandard free care where the risk of death is great due to long wait times when you have a serious medical problem.

That's the problem with this new electronic world ( shades of the old BBS's! )-- it's so easy to get an impression of people that is a cariacture, at best.
I've only met 2 other members face-to-face ( dansangel & .45MAN ) and they are a charming couple in person, but I'd bet someone from the Left side of the aisle would draw opposite conclusions from some of their opinions expressed here.
In real life, I'm a homemaker, rather than a fire-breathing, baby-beating ogre ( and I'll try to post a cartoon of that, later ) and while I type this, Mrs. B is bitching that I forgot to put a fork on the plate of grits & eggs I just cooked for her...

The reason Health costs are so high is because of Malpractice suits. Phoney claims and John Edwards around the country. Tort reforn is needed. Perhaps you could afford insurance if everyobody wasn't so greedy, which started by democrat hand-outs...

Ah, yes. The Dims offer eternal life with F'n Kerry's promised land: "free" healthcare. Socialized medicine is essentially funded by forced servitude. The healthcare pimps take another cut from their "workers" to buy drugs for those who want to play, not pay.
F'n offers the "same healthcare that members of Congress receive". Who is paying for THEIR healthcare, dear Lepidoteran? We are. They vote on their own benefits without any say-so from the peons who pay for it. Do the schools still make mention of the Revolution these days? Does anyone remember "No taxation without representation!"?
If F'n gets elected (which would happen only as a result of fraud, deceit and the aid of the U.N. and MSM), there just may be another secession movement like that of the 19th Century. If our country is truly 50-50 as we are so often told, it surely consists of 50% producers and 50% whackers. A house divided cannot stand.
That said, if I were you, I'd vote for Ralph Socialism Nader. You'd find his platform much more to your liking.
