Just got back from the theater where I watched the first showing in Maine. I thought I would share my impressions with the Freeper Nation
First, this movie is NOT FOR CHILDREN! It is riddled with filthy language, and sexually explicit scenes.
O.K. Now that being said, what a great movie slamming the liberal left, and the absolute stupidity to the Hollywood elite!
The movie starts with Team America pretty much destroying the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triumph, and the Louvre as the team kills the middle-eastern terrorist and rescues Paris from WMDs.
Kim Jong-Il is the archenemy who is the mastermind behind the complete destruction of the world, spreading WMDs to various cities with the help of the Dirkistan terrorists.
In order to fight the terrorist, Team America employs Gary the actor to penetrate the terrorist cells to get information.
Great songs including, America! F*&% YA!, Freedom Isnt Free; It cost $1.05 and unforgettable serenade by Kim Jong-Il called Im Lonely.
Some more memorable moments is Hans Blix warning Jong-Il that we will send you a nasty letter, Michael Moore, called a Socialist Weasel in the movie, as a homicide bomber, the use of cats as panthers, and Alec Baldwins F.A.G. Way speech at a Hollywood rally that clearly mocks the U.N. That is right, no liberal stone unturned!
The movie absolutely RIPS Hollywood including Matt Damon, portrayed as an imbecile, Charlie Sheen, Tim Robbins, Helen Hunt, Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Glover, Sean Penn, and many others.
There were a few scenes that involving the hero of the movie that is very gratuitous, such as the sex scene, puking in the alley, and how he has to win back the trust of the Team America leader.
Overall, the movie is great and very cleverly done! I was very impressed and it is a very, very funny movie. At the same time, the world destruction scene is very poignant and the use of human anatomy as metaphors to explain why the F.A.G. way of thinking is deadly wrong for the world. An absolute killer movie, mocking liberals. A Freeper Thumbs Up!
A foot note, Phil Hendrie plays the voice of the I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E. computer.
One funny scene is when Hans Blix damands to search "KJI's" palace. KJI is in this huge room looking into a huge aquarium of sharks. KJI gets pissed and tells Blix to "step a riddle to your left" onto a gold disc. Then KJI pulls a lever and Blix drops through the floor. Then we see Blix floating up into the aquarium then getting eaten by the sharks. Head ripped off, etc.
The "20 something's" sitting in front of me were howling as much as I was through the whole movie. And, when the movie was over people walked out of the theatre and all started talking about the movie. I've never seen people do that before. Strangers.
They are going to make a fortune off of the movie.
Oh yeah, it's good, Freepers! I just saw it and the film does a good job of skewering the leftie "sensitivity police" of Hollywood while alternately making you laugh or grossing you out - or both. It's very funny and clever.
Yes, the opening scene has our hero as the lead in a Broadway play singing the song "Everyone has AIDS." It's a riot! Later in the movie, there is another dig on Broadway when on the other Team America members, the one that looks just like Kurt Russell, discloses that he was raped by a member of "Cats."
Wouldn't it be "rone-ry"?
Who is Andy Sidaris?
This movie shall have 10x the impact of Fahrenheight 9/11 on young voters, says I.
Yes. Whites, and even Spades.
"The song is actually called "So Ronely." I can't wait to hear THAT."
Shouldn't it be "So Ronery"? I too can't wait to hear it regardless.

You know, maybe we need to consolidate one thread for FReeper reviews, kind of like they tried to do with Passion of the Christ. We're going to be inundated with threads like this for a long time, this movie is going to be hugh! And series!
Is there a way to keep a thread up in breaking news and title it so that all FReeper reviews are added to it. It would make it much easier to track.
I was first!
Hope you don't intend to "light up a camel."
But you don't understand.
Roger Ebert only gave it one star and he gives dog puke 2 1/2 stars.
Also Sean Penn was Very Offended.
I'll probably see it also. gratuitous puppet sex can't be too bad. plus I understand Michael Moore gets blown up.
Real puppet sex, no strings attached!
I wish I could get my hands on a brief backgrounder that explains the actions and words of these celebrities. I want to take someone who has no clue about what Sean Penn, Garofolo, Affleck, etc... have done with their activism. They'd get more out of the movie if they knew beforehand.
Susan Sarandon meets an untimely death as well. Can't remember how. Either thrown from a 14 story building or has her head "blown clean off."
Rude, crude, I loved it! Especially the horrible deaths of each and every one of the Hollywood set. That's worth the price of admission alone. Applause broke out when Janeane Garofalo and Susan Sarandon died.
The puppet sex scene... I hope the DVD will have the bits the censors cut.
Lots of visual humor going on in the set decorations, such as Kim Il Jong's Hummel collection.
The songs, such as "I'm Ronery" sung by Kim Il Jong, are great. Trey Parker does all the singing.
If you love South park, you'll love this movie!
