FReepers Against Voter Fraud - (What Are YOU Doing To Prevent It?)
Various | October 23, 2004 | sweetliberty

You would think that after the nightmare that was the 2000 election, all the stops would have been pulled out to make sure it didn't happen again. It seems that what has happened instead, is that a certain party has seized on it as an opportunity to fine tune their election fraud techniques. Already stories abound of vote swapping, buying and selling, of "mistakes" on the absentee ballots and "problems" resolving conflicts about who would actually be on the ballot that have prevented absentee ballots reaching our troops serving overseas in a timely manner. There are stories of tens of thousands of people who are registered in more than one place, of hordes of democrats blocking polling places to Republicans. There are stories of registrations in some areas far exceeding eligible voters, and democrats kicking and screaming over any measure that would require voters to prove eligibility and/or citizenship. We have John Kerry hiring hordes of lawyers, no doubt on taxpayer money, to challenge election results, even if Bush is the clear winner. You have organizations circulating memos and guidelines for disenfrancising the military and for accusing Republicans of intimidation tactics. We have swarms of democrats actually going into the prisons and registering voters who have no legal right to vote. And on it goes, not even taking into account the standard graveyard vote and politicking from the pulpits of black democrat churches.

So FRiends, it gets worse with every election cycle...and it is pretty darned discouraging. It is hard to play by the rules when you're playing against people who think the rules don't apply to them. As discouraging as it is, though, we're all we've got. It is up to us to do whatever we can to prevent election fraud.

What can you do? You can first be on the alert and report any irregularities you might observe. You can have a group stake out parking lots of polling places with cameras and notebooks, taking pictures and taking notes, especially where busloads of people show up at polling places. If the same busload of people showed up in several polling places, that would be a way to document the fraud in a way that would almost require criminal charges. Of course, there is the 100 feet (or is it 150?) rule, but that's not a big deal.

You can also sign up to be a pollwatcher. Pollwatchers are universally hated by democrats, which suggests that they serve a vital function in exposing fraud and insisting that the rules be followed. Call your local campaign headquarters and ask how to sign up to be a pollwatcher. It routinely involves a couple of hours training, and there is always a shortage of pollwatchers. You might also sign up to be a poll worker, poll closer or to count absentee ballots, again through your local campaign headquarters.

If you're a member of any group, whether church, civic or social, ask others in your group to be alert to the prevalence of voter fraud, especially in certain areas, and encourage them to report any irregularities they might observe.

Be creative. Talk to people. Get involved as much as you are able. And pray. It is one thing for a bad candidate to be honestly elected, in which case, the people get what they deserve, but it is something altogether different when one candidate is so bad and so unscrupulous that he will do anything to win, and we already know that John Kerry is such a candidate. It is up to us to prevent it.

To volunteer to be a poll watcher (or other needs), you can go to www.georgewbush.com & sign up for final 72 hrs. We can't sit back this time, too much is at stake.

I did that a while ago and have heard nothing...I just called my local GOP organization here in Westchester County and offered to help in any possible capacity (left a message on the general machine- I can't believe they are not in today!!)...I told them to call me 24/7...I hope they call soon!

I guess I'd try to spread the word that this isn't your mother's America, and if you want to excercise your rights, you have to determine to not be intimidated. You have to do your own homework and come to your own conclusions. Then, when you meet the morons in the lines, you can look 'em square in the eye and watch them scamper.

the sort of people who shrink from this challenge are the ones who's hold on liberty is precarious.

I expect lots of no-bullsh*t, real Americans to vote and for the President to be reelected by a large margin. The leftists know that there is no way they will win a fair election, which is why their strategy obviously has incorporated fraud from the beginning.

I would think that "poll watching" would be critical. Take notes if possible, even mental ones. Just remember, whatever the lefties do, they will accuse Bush supporters of doing. When going up against an animal that fights like that, one has to be very clever, thorough, and patient. However, the moral high ground is very advantageous.

I have a situation here where my daughter registered to vote when she turned 18, in the 80's. She then went away to college, but maintained residency here for a couple of years, but after that she was a legal resident elsewhere. In fact between now and then she has moved and re-registered 3 different times. Her last move was out of state.

We still receive an absentee ballot for her. I called the County some years ago and told them she no longer lived here, but it didn't do any good, it just kept coming. I have always thrown it away without too much thought until this year when all this talk of voter fraud came up and I realized that if that is going on to any degree, those "extra" ballots could be used.

I contacted a committee woman of our local Republican party. She told me to hang on it and she would get back to me, but so far....nothing;/

I am working as a Poll Official at a precinct on Election Day. Just went to the Seminar meeting today to find out the rules and regulations and will be strictly enforcing the rules on everyone. No Fraud on my watch.

One Freeper said he was going to show up at the polling place with a video camera and film anything that "LOOKS" like illegal activity.

How about positioning ourselves within the allowed distance markers and holding signs to the effect:
VOTER FRAUD IS A FELONY punishable by serious jail time.

You can bet those ballots can, and do, get used. I counted absentee ballots last year, and darn near 25% of them were challenged. Either signatures didn't match the one on the application or birthdates didn't match and there was a large number of "voters" well over a hundred years old. And even with the challenges, I have absolutely no faith that once the pool of ballot counters left, the democrats in charge didn't toss all of them back in anyway. That is why I am totally against absentee balloting, except for the military, and others whose absence cannot be avoided, and those people should have to take the initiative to obtain a ballot. Their applications should not be solicited.

Put on a bumper sticker and scare at least a few of the "Newbie Voter Fraud Technicians" into backing out of their evil plans, and if any are caught, express your views that they should be prosecuted to the fullest:

That's basically what I have been advocating, too. And make sure that any caught are prosecuted to the fullest in a very public way.

Looks like Ohio FReepers could do a lot to help. They will need a lot of support. At least the GOP is doing something there. I guess because it is so obvious that the RATs are trying to steal the election there that even THEY can't ignore it.

I suppose one could shred'em on the spot. But in the end it is the NUMBER recorded and reported that counts. For all I know, every election we've ever witnessed was a total fabrication.

I signed up online to volunteer and no one contacted me either. So I went online, found the class for poll watchers, and attended. Then I called a campaign and volunteered. It was a bit awkward because I guess most campaigns are leery of eager beaver like moi. Anyway today the candidate signed the form (which I downloaded from the Secretary of State's website) and tomorrow I start poll watching at an early voting site. Don't wait for leadership; just do it.

God luvs America,

What I would do then if I were you is to call some of the local R campaign headquarters (even the state congressional races) and talk to someone there to try to find out who you should talk to in order to find out in what way they need your help. I'm sure someone is working out there today, it just might not be the main number that is published for the local GOP organization. Today I called the guy who is heading the Rossi campaign here (in Wash) and he's hooking me up with the precinct officer here so that I can help with doorbelling, phone banking & poll watching. They actually already held a volunteer training for the final 72 hour push today, but I had to miss it. Good luck, keep trying.
