I thought Kerry and his campaign have been saying that he released all of his military records????

This is huge - it's here in black-and-white that Kerry either lied to Russert or lied to Brokaw. Of course, there's not the slightest chance that he was lying to Brokaw when he said "my records aren't public." So we have to jump all over this tonight and try to get at least some media figures, Hannity and Rush if no one else, saying by tomorrow that Kerry LIED on MTP about having released his records.... if this doesn't hit the airwaves tomorrow it will be too late for this story to have a chance.

Kerry made two huge blunders tonight. He admitted that he lied about the availability of his military records and he outted Dick Gephardt's daughter. Based on what happened after the debate - I think the outting will play better in the MSM since the election is so near.

I listened to him (Kerry) lying about the reasons Unfit for Command was #1 ( it's fixed, the Republicans buy them by the thousands to make it go to #1 )

KERRY: Yes, that is what they're angry -- and I understand that, Don, but I had the courage to stand up -- look, I went, I did my duty, I came back, I saw what I saw, and I told the truth. If some people have trouble with that still, I'm sorry about it.

IMUS: A Freedom of Information Act request by "The Washington Post" regarding your military records produced six pages of information, while a spokesman for the Navy Personnel Command said there were at least 100 pages of information available, but he was not authorized to release them. Why can't we see this stuff?

KERRY: We've posted my military records that they sent to me, or were posted on my Web site. You can go to my Web site, and all my -- you know, the documents are there.

IMUS: So is -- everything's available?

KERRY: To the best of my knowledge. I think some of the medical stuff may still be out there. We're trying to get it.

IMUS: "The Washington Post" doesn't think that it's all available, and they could go to your Web site. Maybe they did.

KERRY: Well, we released everything that they initially sent me.

Note the key word 'initially'- seems to be well thought out in how he responds to an anticipated question.

Kerry's records aren't public! Yet, Kerry demanded that President Bush's records be made public!

That is a contradiction too. Kerry told Russert a couple of months ago on MTP that ALL of his military records had been released and were available at his headquarters.

Reporters from several news sources checked with the Kerry Hdq. All they got was 'what was on the website.' Team Kerry would spin when any of them were asked about the 'complete' records. But none of the media dogged Kerry for a full release like they did GWB.

RUSSERT: The Boston Globe reports that your commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander Grant Hibberd has suggested that you perhaps didn't earn your first Purple Heart and question whether you should have left Vietnam after six months. In order to deal with those kinds of issues, when I asked President Bush about his service in the Texas Guard, he agreed to release all his military records, health records, everything. Would you agree to release all your military records?

SEN. KERRY: I have. I've shown them--they're available to you to come and look at. I think that's a very unfair characterization by that person. I mean, politics is politics. The medical records show that I had shrapnel removed from my arm. We were in combat. We were in a very, very--probably one of the most frightening--if you ask anybody who was with me, the two guys who were with me, was probably the most frightening night that they had that they were in Vietnam and we're...

MR. RUSSERT: But you'll make all your records public.

SEN. KERRY: They are. People can come and see them at headquarters and take a look at them. I'm not going to--but I'll tell you this. I'm proud of my service. I'm proud of what we did. I know what happened. And the Navy 35 years ago made a decision and it's the Navy's decision and I think it was the right decision.
