A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day....11-09-04....What they're wearing to the Inaugural Ball
Billie

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

T he election's over, but the euphoria remains for nearly 60 million of us! And now we have another Inaugural Ball to look forward to in January. Of course, that means we get to play dress-up again, so I thought it would be fun to see what a few of FR's well-dressed ladies would be wearing to the ball.

And who better to present them than two of the Finest' most eligible bachelors - the very suave and debonair Louie Wolf and the equally charming and debonair Johnny Fox (aka ST.LOUIE1 and jwfiv, respectively)

I know you're thinking, "Just show us the pictures already," so let's get started. Feel free to whistle anytime. I'll let the pictures do all the talking. Suffice it to say, th' fox and th' wolfie are in very good company.   :)

But only being 5'2"....it's not likely!

I belong to the 5'2" club, too. You know a beehive 'do like Marge's adds height. ;)

BTW, I'm seeing the dreaded "X"

what a lucky guy jkphoto is to be able to take you as his date :o)

Awww.....how sweet of you to say! But, unfortunately, he can't go. It's not a good time for him to leave the business.....although, I know he really, really wants to go.

btw, you have mail.

Got it. I'll get back to you in a sec.

This is so funny. I didn't expect to see my picture here. This was a really run idea. You all are so creative here. I don't know what I'm wearing to the ball yet. Probably a parka since it will be so cold that time of year.

All women are beautiful, some inside, some outside, but our lovely ladies of FR are both.

And *that*, sweet wolfie, is what makes *you* so special to us. :)

Isn't it wonderful to see how the list of Freepers and their loved ones has grown?!

It has certainly grown from the dozen or so we started with, but how much more wonderful it will be to see it shrink again because they've all come home. :)

ROFLMPO!!!!

When we went in 2001 we drove from Delaware to the metro station in Maryland and took the metro in. I was wearing insulated boots under my gown and carried a duffle bag with my shoes and evening bag!!!!

I would never have been able to make it from the metro station to the Ballroom wearing 7" heels. Besides, my feet would have been numb because my shoes were sandals!!!

If I can muster up the necessary fun tickets to go again, we will probably do the same thing, except we'll be driving into Maryland from Virginia.......and I will most likely wear the same thing I wore in 2001.

Well, wolfie had more fur to brush. LOL

Oh. Now waidaminnet! They make luxuriant fur coats out of fox fur - I've never seen a wolf fur coat. :) (except for the cowboys and Indians movies when the Indians wore the wolf hides, heads and all! Eeeuuuuuwwww!)

Not that I'd want either of you to be a fur coat. :(

I'm going to make a point to visit these threads more often. Uplifting, inspiring, funny and friendly are just some terms that spring to mind.

What a nice thing to say! Thank you. Look forward to seeing you here more often. (I feel like a huge weight has been lifted since last Tuesday night. How refreshing it is not to see or hear all kerry all the time this last week.) :)

Wow! I always wanted to have legs that wouldn't quit....but alas, I ended up more on the Joey Heatherton side than the Ann Miller side. Though I could never dance as well as either one of them!

What a fun post! Billie, you've done a superb job dressing our beautiful FReeper women in exquisite gowns for the Inaugural Ball. And wolfie and the fox are in Fine form, as always, with lovelies on each arm (leg? paw?).

LOL! Thanks, Sistah Lori. You have a point there (about the swishy-tailed ones' arm/leg/paw?! Can't recall seeing too many wolves and/or foxes in tuxedos!)

She was mad at mommy!!!! She had been sent to her room as punishment for locking herself in my room with a bottle of nailpolish which she got on my night table and the floor.

She learned her lesson and has not done anything simialr again - I sent her to school without doing anything to fix the damage to her hair nor did I remove the (maroon) nailpolish. One day was all it took. Unfortunately it was the week before school pictures were being taken and there was little the beauty parlor could do to fix the front of it.

Thanks, Spookie - glad you made it here today - you look like a beautiful Senorita in your red dress!

Wear a floor-length white (fake) ermine over it. LOL!
