Mystery object lights up Northwest sky
FOX 12 OREGON ^ | 03.12.05 | NA

PORTLAND - A flaming object was spotted streaking through the Saturday night sky across Western Oregon and the impact was heard all the way from Salem to Medford, according to various reports.

Newspapers across the western half of the state and KPTV were getting phone calls from people who saw the object.

Summer Jensen of Portland said she was sitting in her living room with her father when they saw the flash of light outside and rushed to see what it was.

"I've never seen anything like that," Jensen said, adding that the object appeared to be moving slowly compared to a typical meteor, or "shooting star."

I did not say nor imply that you did. That's why I copied and pasted your statement into my previous response to your previous post.

Txsleuth wrote: "He then went on to say that even though he didn't believe those stories about Bush, he DID vote for John Kerry because Kerry PROMISED not to let spent nuke fuel to be dumped in Nevada---"

That is something I did not hear last week. It's disappointing to hear that he'd believe Kerry.

Does anyone have any updates?

I guess a large number of cars on I-5 stalled as it went over. Just kidding, but lights were flickering in Seattle. Do I think it was related? No.

I'm starting to think there is more to the election that we've heard. Like maybe she was personally involved with directing the recounts... it's almost like there are so many heads that could roll if the truth comes out, Olympia would be a ghost town.

Remember, as AG, she probably has dirt on 98% of them.

I think the Kerry comment was made LIVE tonight---he was trying to explain that he is "neutral" when it comes to Bush because he is a Libertarian---

then, he mentioned the Kerry thing.

I turned off right after he said that he was really against Bush's energy policy and that he was going to interview Willie Nelson about Nelson's use of cooking oil to fuel his cars...

sorry, just couldn't subject myself to anymore kookiness tonight...

LOL! If I had heard him say all that, I would have done the same.

Good catch: Txsleuth wrote: "...he was trying to explain that he is "neutral" when it comes to Bush because he is a Libertarian---

Art Bell? Don't tell us he's going to reveal the names of the 7 living perps of 9/11. Or the alleged fact that no 757 ever hit the pentagon.
C'mon! Do we look that dumb?

Could it be that the robot has disturbed the Mars neighborhood and they are coming to get us?

It's still possible that this was a reentry of a satellite or booster on a north-south or polar orbit (direction as given by most Seattle/Vancouver observers)

Thanks for sharing! I envy you -- you saw a good one. I have seen many meteors over the years, and only a handful of really spectacular meteors. One of the best "meteors" I saw was very colorful and the trail lasted a long time -- the next day I read a story saying it was probably an old booster rocket.

Art must not be able to hear the sounds of flip-flops when he wears his headphones.
