Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.

Welcome to TGIF at the Finest!   We hope you've been having as much fun as we have with our essays and/or spotlight on various FReepers. From the beginning, we've been kicking back on Saturdays and Sundays and simply reviewing the features of the week; our weekend threads now start on Friday and continue through Sunday. Mum has settled in the home well and it a pleasant place and they take great care of them which is a great worry lifted off me.

Mothers deserve so much respect for all they do.

The term "Professional Multitasker" as an apt description comes to mind, often juggling a family with husband and children, critters *AND* an outside job-with-commute!

I did that for many years, and earned my now happy coasting ones..:))

I remember that story, Dave, and deeply appreciate the pastor's sensitivity.

Even if we carry one or more to term, many of us have also lost a little one in its 'early stages,' yielding them back to God.

One always wonders what it would have looked like - how its laugh would have sounded - but we rest knowing God listens and enjoys its laughter among his tiniest angels...

I actually am multitasking as we converse --
Planning sirloin steak and stuff for dinner tonight --
started spaghetti meat sauce (with mushrooms) simmering for tomorrow's (and the next day's) dinner, since it's better after the sauce flavors fully permeate the meat.

AND am planning to in a few minutes to make homemade "Best Ever Custard Pudding" from a Treasury of Country Recipes -- a favorite of mine in childhood.

Oh yes. She is eating up the mother thing big time. I've never seen a girl take to mothering like she has. That is all she has ever wanted. She adores children, which explains why she is a kindergarden teacher. BTW, did I e-mail you the pictures of Em with the mirror. I know that Dolly posted a couple of them, but I have a whole slide show of them. Em kept doing funny things in the front of the mirror and Grammy kept snapping pictures.
