"I had not been all that politically active prior to President Clinton's election," Robinson recalls. "Yes, I complained about government and politics just like everyone else
but politics was not particularly high on my list of priorities until Slick came along."
Robinson saw that the Clintons had brought a new and dangerous level of corruption to American politics. He could no longer remain aloof. "I knew that the newspapers and news media were lying and I knew that government had been encroaching on our individual rights and that our politicians were as corrupt as the day is long. I also knew that nothing would be done about it unless we the people somehow joined together to exercise our political free-speech rights."

I loved reading about Free Republic's founder and the catalyst for his courageous activism. He went head to head with Slick Willie's legal henchmen and stood his ground. Thank God for sites like this. Without media watchdogs like the Freepers, the purchase of Clinton/Gore's 1996 re-election by Chinese arms merchants would have gone unreported and there would be no one to counter the journalistic fraud of the Socialist controled "fourth estate". Jim, keep up the fantastic work and "Illegitimi Non Carborundum"! HOOAH! SFC MAC

Btw, who was the first to be called a true blogger?
Just asking because I want to know that it wasn't Gore.

Double posting, LOL! Needless to say, Free Republic can can claim modest credit for destroying Dan Rather's media empire.

Name rings a bell . . . Who's Jim Robinson?
To: goldstategop
You bet. I first heard of this great site from another great site: RightNation.US. I'm on there mostly, but I switch over to here now and then to check out the commentaries and news items. I think all sites that take up Jim's cause can lay claim to giving the MSM the verbal blunt force trauma it so richly deserves....oh and PING!!

Couldn't help but notice how so many in high positions, having taken oaths of office, stood around with thumbs up their ass during the Klinton Krime regime. This article enlightens a lot.

Jim is an ordinary American and an extraordinary man, which says quite a lot about this country.I heard someone say something similar just this past weekend; however, they were referring to our soldiers. Ordinary Americans acting in extraordinary ways - it truly gave me chills. An incredible statement and one certainly applicable to Jim Robinson.

Excellent article.
It always helps to keep the pressure on the left and stay in their faces.
They are so used to having their positions go unchallenged and simply accepted by an ever willing media that they actually wilt in the face of reasoned challenge.
Thats why they abandon argument and resort to insults, name calling and smears.
[Unfortunately, too many believe that it is acceptable to do this.]

My thoughts exactly. Hillary's dossiers explains a lot of the thundering silence I've noticed on the part of many Republican politicians.
It will be interesting to watch her run for president. It's going to bring a lot of things to a head.
