Supporters of U.S. Involvement in Iraq Plan Caravans to Texas

Move America Forward will be conducting the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” caravan beginning next week. It will feature military family members who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan. The delegation will be led by Deborah Johns of Marine Moms. (Her son has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom).

Main caravan leaves from San Francisco, California on Monday, August 22nd. Other caravans will depart from around the country. If you want to be part of a caravan, email us with your name and location you will depart from and we will include in our caravan coverage so people in your area can depart with you.

Everyone arrives in Crawford, Texas for a giant “We Support Our Troops AND Their Mission” Rally on Saturday, August 27, 2005.

If you have a loved one serving in Iraq or Afghanistan and would like to join the caravan please contact Move America Forward’s Robert Dixon: Robert@MoveAmericaForward.org

I just donated also - this seems like a much smarter and healthier approach that attacking Sheehan personally - not that she doesn't deserve it - it's just that this way is smarter.

My only reservation - I really feel for the people that live in Crawford. But if there is going to be so much coordinated effort to try to force us to pull out of Iraq with the job not done then there has to be a response.

I wonder if these people consider for a second that if we just up and pull out that every Iraqi who has worked with us for democracy will likely be slaughtered.

Great Idea!! Do you or any other Freepers know someone in the music arena that would and could do this?

"You don't speak for me, Cindy Sheehan" to the tune of "Don't Cry for me Argentina"

I was coming up with some good lines for "You Don't Speak for me, Cindy Sheehan", but then got to thinking maybe it would be better to do something honoring Casey, maybe call it "The Ballad of Casey Sheehan".

Whatcha think, Doug?

By the way, you were great on Tony yesterday. He's seems to really enjoy hearing from you.

"Move America Forward will be conducting the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy”

I strongly suspect she does not speak for her own son whose death she has, along with enormous help from the MSM and fringe Liberal Orgs, used as the vehicle to give meaning to what would appear to have been her otherwise pointless, unhappy life.

Has anyone seen any reporting on her relationship with her warrior son? I haven't but would not be surprised if his views on the War, the President, his duty and his sacrifice are/were in direct opposition to what she is shouting down in Crawford.

The reaction of the extended family and, most notably, her husband's divorce filing gives a clue. She is besmirching her son's reputation, his sacrifice and his overall honor by placing what I believe to be false words in his mouth, words which he cannot refute. A truly disgusting action on her part.

I support the Caravan and hope it succeeds in putting the lie to this woman's despicable and damaging behavior.

I don't havew a loved one serving but I would like to have organized counter demonstrations. I just saw in two of my local papaers that MoveOn sponsored Nationwide protests yesterdya. (2) of our local town papers gave fron page news to the coverage..and I have written letters to the editors of both papers. We need to speak with a muh louder voice, people. The morons were out in force last night. It is frightening.

Hey, what if those of us can't go , see if we can organize groups to be heard in our hometowns as the caravan arrives in Crawford? Just a thought.

"The morons were out in force last night."

Not much of a force in our area. There were three gatherings, the largest had about 100 people. In a metropolitan area of about 2.5 million people.

Maybe they werent't around here either..but they sure get way more press coverage than deserved. These are the same papers that make no mention of Able Danger. That to me is the bigger problem.
