The good news, so far, is that the storm picked up speed going north. That will reduce the winds on the west side of the hurricane which will help NO greatly.

LOL! Our local radio host just said that he thinks Steve has a death wish. He's imitating him with, "Oh, look a piece of roof just blew past me."

We have had a replacement host named Leslie ? on last week who thinks Cindy Sheehan is great. He says he asked the program director if they could send Leslie down to NO.

""If the roof comes off, I think they are in big trouble. The whole structure will be compromised and
the rest of the interior will likely sustain catastrophic damage.""

"I rather doubt it. It doesn't look like the roof is in any way structurally supporting the rest of the building."

Per discussion and technical data in earlier thread, roof and walls are integral to each other.

Still, it important to note that roof panels are not the same as roof trusses/supports, which do not appear to have been affected yet.

Hurricanes take roofs frequently, and while people get wet, they can and have survived.

Camille was Cat 5 when she hit land with wind gusts up to 200 mph. Not that Katrina isn't bad, but not Camille, at least I pray not.

My grandmother's house was crushed into matchsticks when a big gas tank was blown off a ship and rolled over it during Camille, and she was in D'Iberville, north of the Back Bay!

At least her house was. She was in Baton Rouge, and never moved back.

... not that much debris falling ... reporters wondering what it looks like from the outside ... they are standing in the tunnel where the Saints come out onto the field ... they placed the new roof over the old roof ... from sounds that we heard was that part of new roof was peeling off, slamming the old roof ... after a while it would cause some damage ... that is their theory ... new latex covering coming off only thing that would explain the sound they heard ...

Sorry, had to take a client call and actually do some work.

I installed ReloadEvery and installed it in Firefox.

Now I guess I'll have to learn how to use Firefox.

I want to be able to set the time on the thing. And how 'bout only making it run on one page or instance of Firefox.
