What's missing from the White House Christmas card? Christmas.
This month, as in every December since he took office, President Bush sent out cards with a generic end-of-the-year message, wishing 1.4 million of his closest friends & supporters a "happy holiday season".
Many people are thrilled to get a White House Christmas card, no matter what the greeting inside. But some conservative Christians are reacting as if Bush stuck coal in their stockings.

But really, I agree with your question. I remember JFK lighting the national Christmas tree, and there was none of the sad pusillanimity about celebrating Christmas that afflicts this administration. If this is what we have come to now, imagine what we will be asked to give up when Dubya gets his guest worker program and the 'diversity' goes up tenfold.

That job belongs to the LORD, and He doesn't need any help from either of us in judging the sincerity of our individual faith in Him.
In the end, it pains me to see how unChristian like we can act towards one another. And this holiday is supposed to celebrate His Birth, yet you couldn't tell it by how some of us act.
