As a member of the grassroots, I hold a real grudge against John McCain for the crap he pulled in 2000! He was so bad that my Senator Inhofe (R-OK) took off the gloves early in the primary and came out for George Bush and against John McCain. That spoke volumes.

As unfortunate as it seems, my dad has predicted that only way for this country to get back to the way it was would be through a civil war. It seems like we're heading in that direction...question is, what foreign enemies would capitalize on an American civil war?

You sound like my father, circa 1973, and even today. I remember a similar "what-if" discussion I saw and participated in on Fidonet back in the late 1980's and the consensus then is that Red China would capitalize on it. I figured the USSR back then too although I think Russia, which is acting like a "rump USSR" as of late would probably capitalize on it too. I was against the whole thing. As much as I dislike the wall-to-wall campaign spots on the radio at election time, the only thing worse is the gummint telling us what we can and cannot run on the air. I am completely amazed that no one has bothered to test this and take it to the Supremes, if necessary.
