In unearthed letter urged President-elect Clinton to 'reform' country
A letter to Bill Clinton written by the co-counsel who successfully argued the Roe v. Wade decision urged the then-president-elect to "eliminate the barely educated, unhealthy and poor segment of our country" by liberalizing abortion laws. Ron Weddington, who with his wife Sarah Weddington represented "Jane Roe," sent the four-page letter to President Clinton's transition team before Clinton took office in January 1993.
The missive turned up in an exhibit put together by the watchdog legal group Judicial Watch, which has been researching the Clinton administration's policy on the abortion drug RU-486, notes James Taranto in the Wall Street Journal's Best of the Web.
Weddington qualified his statement, saying, "No, I'm not advocating some sort of mass extinction of these unfortunate people. Crime, drugs and disease are already doing that. The problem is that their numbers are not only replaced but increased by the birth of millions of babies to people who can't afford to have babies.
"There, I've said it. It's what we all know is true, but we only whisper it, because as liberals who believe in individual rights, we view any program which might treat the disadvantaged differently as discriminatory, mean-spirited and ... well ... Republican

Curious-how do you feel about emergency contraception and RU486?
"Its monstrous yet true. What kind of parents do you think would kill their child? Now think how good parents they would be if their child was murdered? These people who get abortions are the people who used to raise derelicts."
Both my mother, who had three children, and my mother-in-law, who had two, told me they would have had abortions if they had become pregnant again. I believe them, but they do love the children they have and did a good job raising them. I also think it is something cold, heartless, monstrous in them - something cut off from God.
I know other women who regret their abortions and became good mothers and would have coped fine if they hadn't had abortions - and at least one woman who doesn't regret her abortion and is doing a decent job.
bump.
Of course there are exceptions as I am generalizing, but on average wouldn't you bet that willing mothers are better mothers?
Technology has developed exponentially since Roe was passed, giving police far greater ability to diagnose a crime and prosecutors better means to obtain a conviction. There are three CSI shows on TV, plus Crossing Jordan, Unsolved Mysteries and many other true-crime offerings that point to a greater interest in, and presence of, the technology of crime-solving. DNA technology is also helping to unravel the cases of many who were wrongly convicted.
It's a win-win; sadly, the media is far behind the curve of actual progress, in favor of flacking "progressive" politics of bygone eras, usually the 60s.
The amazing thing is that what you have stated is PRECISELY what will happen. They are aborting their own base.
Ditto. A Republican majority by no means is a pro-life majority. Principle over party.
"Of course there are exceptions as I am generalizing, but on average wouldn't you bet that willing mothers are better mothers?"
Sure, usually willing mothers are better mothers, but I don't think the women I have mentionned are "exceptions" - they are normal women who would have coped with unplanned pregnancies in another age. Abortion doesn't tempt only the dregs of society, but ordinary, middling people.
The patron saint of abortionists, Mary Sanger was a rabid racist and proposed abortion to eliminate blacks. (But it's not PC to mention that.)
'Margaret' Sanger, sorry.
Yeah, but they are making up for lost time now. There are about to be 20 million new ones added to the democratic roles as of last night.
Apparently the letter "R" is way more important than the letter "P".

This has been their attitude since Margaret Sanger, but it has been carefully concealed behind the 'my body, my choice' mantra.
That is a flat out LIE. There is no such "Republican" policy and one must be pretty far gone before they would make any such claim.
Me too, Jim. It is disgusting to read some of the crap posted here by "conservatives" which assists the Party of Treason in its efforts to regain power.
Two wonderful articles for reading.

Here is another copy of the last one at the 100% Pro-Life PAC's website: http://www.prolifepac.com/html/artexception.htm
And there are one too many RHINO369s on FR.
"This isn't any better then the Brazillian practice of hiring mercenaries to just butcher the poor."
Their police do it too, I read.
What a clever concept. However, there will always be poor people. Killing the babies of those who are presently poor, only allows for a new class of poor to develop. Then, it becomes time to kill those babies. Which allows for a newer class of poor to develop, from a much much smaller population. Oh, looks like the whole population is dying. You know, Rome and all the other powers entertained this same faulty logic. But, hark, the abortion supporters say. We are special and will avoid the pitfalls. Yeah right. You people already dug the pit by allowing abortion...
