INDIAN RIVER INLET, Del. - There was a happy reunion Monday night between seven wayward fishermen and their families. "We all survived," said one of them as he walked off a Coast Guard ship.

This group of union plumbers and sheet metal workers left Friday from the Indian River Inlet in Sussex County, Del., between Dewey Beach and Bethany Beach.

On Saturday night, they heard a bump under their boat, and then came the water.

"I heard the alarm for high water go off and ran down the steps, and water was already coming up the steps," said Ken Arters of Chester Springs. "We literally had no time."

The men really still have no idea what pierced the bottom of the boat. They had about two minutes to get off the boat. They didn't even have a chance to grab any food.

My bet is that they sailed into the corner of a lost shipping container floating just below the surface.
