A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY

Welcome to Warm Fuzzy Wednesday at the Finest. For those who start counting the days on Monday until the weekend, we're halfway there! So we're here to banish those doldrums and make you smile inside! Please feel free to post sweet graphics and/or little stories that make you feel all warm and fuzzy - or just come by and give us a smile. Only two more days 'til the weekend!

BTW, the two of you asked about my rose bush. I don’t know the name - the tag that came with it is long gone. Mrsd gave that white one to me a number of years ago for an anniversay gift. I just discovered our daughter has the same rose bush at her newly purchased home.

I’ll do some research and see if I can discover the name of it and I’ll pass the info on to y’all. I know mine is about 15 years old, so the species has been around a while. Very fragrant.

That would be great. Thanks Diver :)
Enjoy viewing your Morning Dove visitors. I’m working on getting the wren/chickadee houses up. I’m having a tough time but the houses will be ready for them. :) I have to order a rose that Meg has posted soon. I found a source. LOL Nice to have roses in my garden, that my FRiends have posted.

Keep the pictures coming. Still chilly here and I miss seeing flowers ;)

You got it! This is a picture of my "Bridal Pink" rose that I took yesterday. It is a floribunda often used commercially in bride's bouquets. It is very pretty, but I prefer my long stemmed hybrid teas for cutting and using in floral arrangements.

I am looking for a good, dependable white or nearly white rose, Dave. If you are able to discover the name of yours I would be interested in knowing. I had to remove my JFK rose from my garden because it was just doing nothing. The few flowers I got were white tinted with green (a "green" rose named for JFK's Irish heritage), but it never preformed well. (I could draw political parallels here, but I will refrain, LOL. I actually rather liked JFK.)

I have such limited space that I won't keep a rose unless I am very happy with it. Anyway, I need a white one and am not sure which to get. There are so many to choose from.

Have a rosy and happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday, you two.

I bet you have some interesting discussions in your house having both an Army and a Marine living there. God bless you and I hope your kids come home soon and well.

Oh, what a great picture of the mourning doves! Now that is warm and fuzzy. :-)

I have seen a few of these doves around here over the years, but they never stay very long. I love the cooing sound they make.

Cool fact: Mourning Doves feed their nestlings
crop milk or "pigeon milk," which is secreted by the crop
lining. This is an extremely nutritious food with more protein and fat than is
found in either cow or human milk. Crop milk, which is regurgitated by both
adults, is the exclusive food of hatchlings for three days, after which it is
gradually replaced by a diet of seeds.

Army/Navy games are a major event worth many phone calls asking for messages to be passed along to brothers. Hubby and I have had to enforce a rule that no messages are to be passed. It still doesn't stop the chatter.

Wonderful Grapics and Pics, Dear Finest FRiends, and I Hope Everyone is having a Good Day.

I'm Blessed to have a Pair of Eastern Phoebe's Nesting on my Back Porch, and the Little Mother Bird is So Dedicated to her (Soon-to-be) Family, Faithfully Keeping her Eggs Safe Beneath her Wings. I can't Wait Until her Family is Chirping Happily in their Little Home!

Here's an Eastern Phoebee Pic; the Actual Mother Bird is So Shy she won't let me Take a Picture of her.

A Warm, Fuzzy Wednesday to All!

Oh, gorgeous! Here is another rose I must have. ;) I have a wonderful white HT named Tienke. Y'all are rose enabling. so if hubby complains I'll blame you ok. ;)

Many blooms, repeats often, great foliage and an excellent shape bush/ HT. Another white I love is Home and Family. That is tall and large beautiful white flowers. :) I'm just popping in so later I'll post a picture of Tienke. :)

Good Afternoon (((Kitty Mittens)))
How special to have them nesting where you can view them. Enjoy your visitors. Get some photos, if you can. :)

I just got back with my daughter from a sanctuary where the Chickadees and Titmice take seeds from our hands. It’s a magnificent place. A little piece of heaven on earth. ;)

Off to run errands. Talk to you soon.

It’s a beautiful day here in the low 50s with lots of sun. A little tuckered from art class last night, I’ve been in and out, finding the air delicious.

Unfortunately, we are supposed to get snow tomorrow! We have had more snow this April than we got all winter!

How’s it up your way, Sweets?
