Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

"But in Reagan's spirit, we shouldn't tear down a fellow in our party. Rudy will probably not achieve nomination but he shouldn't be torn to pieces by us."

The above is what I'm commenting on. How can simply pointing out his actual words and deeds, confessions, his thousands of proud declarations over the years that he's a pro choice Republican, for gay rights, for gun control, for sanctuary cites, actual photos, video clips, stated positions, actual record, obvious weaseling and waffling, etc, be classified as "tearing him down?" Until he started weaseling in the last few days since the SCOTUS ruling on PBA, he was proud of his record. He was "in your face" with it. He told us what he was and if we didn't like it, we shouldn't vote dor him. Don't worry about that!

He tore himself down long ago. He is NO conservative. Never has been. Never will be. He thinks and acts like a liberal. He's not even qualified to be a Republican being as how he doesn't agree with the majority of the longstanding party platform.

The man is totally unqualified and disqualified. Should be rejected out of hand and immediately by all conservatives!

"Giuliani really is a pretty decent man."

Any 'man' who thinks that murdering an unborn child is not as serious as murdering a child already living is NOT 'decent', and is no man.

Speaking of decency, Giuliani had this to say about another so-called 'decent man':

"I don't think tonight's result is tragic,...I think President Clinton is a good man, he's a very decent man, and the country has run pretty well."
--Rudolph Giuliani, commenting on Bob Dole's loss in the 1996 presidential election. New York Times, Nov 7, 1996

"Most of [President] Clinton's policies are very similar to most of mine"
--Rudolph Giuliani, New York Post, Jun 8, 1999
(restating RWG quote from 1996)

You were saying...?

One more thing, if he doesn't want to be criticized on his positions, words, deeds, actions, record, constitutional violations, ridiculous and scandalous personal and public life and low life character, his lying, waffling, weaseling, etc, he should immediately withdraw from the race. As long as he is in the race he's a threat to the conservative cause, to the pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-border security movements and to the GOP itself (not to mention a threat to our Liberty whether he or Hillary wins).

And he's wasting our limited time, resources and political capital when we could be working for a qualified conservative candidate that we can all get behind to actually defeat Hillary! Why split the party? Get him out now or suffer the consequences! It's only going to get worse. Much worse! Until he's out!

And don't expect us to sit idly by as he attempts to flush our decades long conservative efforts down the toilet. Don't ask for the ridiculous! Better prepare to see us fighting this liberal jerk tooth and nail to the finish!

Regarding Howlin. Wow, her account had been active. Figured she was taking names and numbers for the revenge so I was gonna let you know it lives. Checked again and she has been “poofed”

Surprised. Thought she would never ever get the axe. Shocked in fact. Maybe someone knows what happened?????????? Jim didn’t ban her but was really not happy about the foot on the neck of the party comment he was alerted to from last month. She must have done it through Freepmail perhaps.

Pruning can be overdone, but that hasn't happened at FR yet. It only feels like death to the branches and twigs that are pruned.

It’s difficult to be certain in all the smoke and noise and what-have-you of the past several days... but: I believe Spiff is the keeper of said list. (Would that be correct, Spiff...?) ;)

but this time we are losing some giants at FR

The loss of any "giant" whose putative talents are openly and enthusiastically employed in the service of any demonstrably pro-infanticide or pro-gay "marriage" candidate is...

... well... is, perhaps, something less than a devastating and wholly irrevocable one for the conservative cause as a whole, all things being equal.

To put it mildly.

And suddenly the use of commas and the word “calumnious” have dropped dramatically.
