Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Well, I worked on Reagan’s campaign as a volunteer. I am just telling you what I observed about him and his supporters.

So you have developed a new tactic to go after Reagan and try to bring his memory down to Rudy's level. You say you observed him while you were a volunteer in his campaign because you think no one can question the slime you throw on him then? That is so lowlife.

Ok, if anyone’s interested, you got banned because you are attempting to smear Ronald Reagan in your effort to build up Rudy Giuliani. Also, in general, you are going way out of your way trying to justify abortion. Again, to give cover for Giuliani’s liberal positions. There was no other reason possible for you to drag Ronald Reagan into this Rudy abortion discussion. You smear a good man while defending abortionists. No thanks. Take it elsewhere.

Told you Jim. Lets be honest, Peach was begging to be banned. You simply obliged her. Good move.

Jim,
What has happened on FR is good,,,,VERY GOOD. It's good because it is a eye-opening glimpse of what will happen to the Republican Party as a whole next year--if the Republican Party does something as stupid and short-sighted as nominating a LIBERAL as its candidate.

Just as we have seen here on FR--with a group of conservatives (some real conservatives and some not-quite-so) who more-or-less agree in philosophy (again, some more-so,,,,and some less-so) completely DIVIDED and SPLIT totally apart--

we will see the EXACT same thing next year. It is sad here now,,,,and it would be even sadder next year (with much greater consequences, very negative and much longer-lasting). Isolating and ignoring the traditional base is especially short-sighted because the traditional base carries a party's bedrock, core principles with it.

Hopefully, we as a Party can learn from what has happened here on FR (with its look into the future, if you will). If we, as a Party, don't have the foresight, prescience, and common sense to see what will happen to our Party next year (based on what we have seen here on FR right now)--then, well,,,,,

you can fill in the rest.

also with the youth that watched his leadership grandstanding after 9/11.

There, accurate, and true.

The youths really dig the way Rooty’s eyes nearly bulge out of his skull every time a new thought crosses his mind. They think it’s wicked cool.

Where have I slimed Reagan? Such hyperbole is unnecessary, as well as false. I won’t be responding to such tactics in the future.

“I could see that she was pushing too hard and knew it was coming, but knew if I stated that she would just take it as an attack on her because it is well known that I despise Rooty.”

I quit posting to her several months ago when she made some idiotic Nazi comment in her response to my post. It had nothing to do with the issues we were discussing, but she threw it out there to try to provoke me. I didn’t take her bait, I simply never posted to her again. She doesn’t debate fairly or intelligently. She debates purely on emotions—like a liberal.

Who would dare impugn his conservative credentials or his moral authority to support whom he thinks is the best man to be POTUS???

Who? Why any strawman you care to construct could do that. The strawman is the mischaracterization of opposition to a liberal Republican as impugning his conservative credentials or his moral authority.

It is fair to inpugn and question anyone. It is also fair to decry the tone of that opposition.

But, Ted Olsen puts his pants on the same way I do.

And those nasty rudy supporters usually calm it down for Jim. Some of the worst know how to suck up. Peach, I guess wasn’t smart enough? She wasn’t even as bad as some of them either, and thats saying they are bad because peach was down right mean.

I think I'm already on it...I've gotten stuf from you in the past. If not, go ahead and add me.

One of the many things I love about Boise is the presence of so many Oakland fans. I just love showing off my Super Bowl 37 hat, T-shirt, etc. I often invite Raiders fans I know over to watch my DVD of the game...Gannon drops back, he's looking, OH NO...brought down by #55 Derrick Brooks!

What a beautiful night that was...too bad Gruden forgot how to "coach to win", instead of "coaching not to lose". Be good.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

When did you go over to the dark side?

First we were treasonous liberals. Now I’m an idiot and a liar.

>>>>>You three are nothing of the sort.

Peach, M.Thatcher and veronica are die hard RudyBoosters. I'm tired of trying to figure out if they've just sold out conservatism, or they're actually gone liberal. And at this point, I don't give a rats arse either. Peach has been banned and I hope the other two follow her. I hope JimRob makes these bannings permanent too.

It was pointed out to you with facts that Rudy in no way resembles Reagan. You couldn't refute the facts so you did your little name dropping ditty to insinuate that Reagan was indeed like Rudy.

There are times to reach out and be a big tent party. Primary’s are never that time. The General election is rarely that time. I see little difference between Joe Lieberman and Rudy Giuliani except that Lieberman has a more honest assessment of what he believes. While you might let a Giuliani in the tent for a vote on WOT he would make a leader.

Rudy connects across the board, with many disaffected democrats as well as independents

Problem is Rudy does not connect with Republicans. We Republicans want someone who connects with us.
