Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Yeah, now she’s over at the liberal cry baby forum where they all talk about how no good FR conservatives are.

What forum is she at or did you just make that up?

Ronald Reagan DID NOT get cancer because of stress!

My husband has stage IV melanoma. He is the most stress free human being on the planet. OTOH, I am a type A personality, and have never been unwound in my 65 years.

The cancer that you should be worring about is liberalism, unfaithful husbands that want to run the country, etc.

If the '67 law wasn't bad(I haven't seen the full text of the law), how could the results be bad?

One phrase stands out... "health of the mother".

In 1967, what Ronald Reagan meant by "health" was "genuine physical endangerment to the health of the mother". In 2007, what Liberals mean by "health" is "mental health, economic health, financial health, stress, unhappiness, inability to get a date on Friday Night... et cetera." They can -- and do -- drive a truck through the Exception made by Reagan in 1967.

Ron Paul seeks to overturn Roe vs. Wade and return Lawmaking over Abortion-murder to the proper Authority of the States.

The sad example of Ronald Reagan in 1967 simply demonstrates the need for absolute precision in Lawmaking -- "give 'em an inch, and they'll take a mile". We need to write State Law statutes to allow Abortion only to protect the LIFE of the Mother -- genuine physical endangerment of her continued physical life.

Nice twist but:

the scare tactic comes from the liberal media.

they are saying vote for a liberal to beat a liberal.

I am saying stand your ground. Vote for what you believe in. AND:

I look at it this way: Americans WANT to be conservative, especially socially conservative. It’s a good way to live. The Founding Fathers had a divinely inspired vision and they enacted it; they secured the socially conservative basis of this Nation in the founding documents.

Their vision holds morals as a high value, but an attainable one. Without morals, without honor, without obedience to God, what are we? We are thrust back into ignorance and feudalism.

Libertine is not the same as Liberty. Giuliani, Peach, et al are libertines, however they cloak or justify it. That is the wrong path.

We must remain high-minded and adhere to moral guidelines, within which we exercise our precious freedoms. Legitimizing perversion (”gay” marriage) is a huge warning sign of the wrong path being taken, and it must be heeded seriously.

Some of the posters have been here for a long time but I never knew they were so liberal minded. They hid it very well over the years. Since all of this started, I have been doing a lot of genealogy stuff and have added about 2500 names to my FTM. That is a lot more fun than reading the liberal posts on this site.

The problem is I don’t think there was a “polling” functon then, at least there are no polls in the polls database from that time. So we can’t really tell what the “majority” of the board believed.

“Calling someone “Liberal” because they support a GOP candidate who influential people on this forum does not, is unhealthy for the forum. When so many devoted and respected conservatives outside this forum support Giuliani, then how does that make them “Liberals” because of who they support, regardless of their personal beliefs.”

The problem is that Rudy is a LIBERAL, and FR is a conservative website. The support for Rudy has ALWAYS puzzled me because I don’t see how anyone who is conservative, and agrees with FR mission statement, could consider supporting him.

Just from lurking, I’ve noticed that most of the Rudy supporters seem to be Republicans and not conservatives. Many of them have shown up on various threads attacking Rush, coulter, Buchanan, Duncan Hunter, Tancredo, Rommney, Fox News, Savage - anyone IOW, to the right of Arlen Specter.

How much energy does FR want to waste fighting liberal Rudy supporters in its own ranks? Why are they even posting on a conservative website?

I just don’t get it.

Once you've run the gauntlet and have a job, a house (lease)...and haven't broken any other laws..

If they are here working and renting a house, they've broken several laws. Why should they be excused for identity theft when no citizen would be? Why should they be forgiven for breaking wage laws when no citizen would be? It is also clear an alien cannot rent, as it is also against the law to rent to them. My child has to have a US birth certificate to attend school. Why don't they?
