Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

I, as a strong pro-lifer, will NOT allow one who is gleefully pro-death back in the White House. It's not silly. It's conservative logic.

Giuliani IS gleefully pro-death. He has been bragging lately about how he feels that poor women have the right to kill their babies at taxpayer expense. He's been FOR partial birth abortion since he first heard of the barbaric form of infanticide. He stood with and received accolades and donations from NARAL, one of the largest pro-death liberal groups in the United States. He officially CELEBRATED the Roe v. Wade decision every year he was Mayor. He is the most pro-death candidate running for President right now save maybe one or two of the Democrats.

It isn’t the lack of agreement over matters of opinion that make a liar a liar and a troll a troll.

No, it's the claim with no proof that makes a liar a liar.

And if you consider the truth to be abrasive, while defending the foul-mouthed name calling, you are the one with the problem.

Truth isn't abrasive. Foul-mouthed name calling is. I'm not defending it, I am calling it childish, with may be abrasive to those who are guilty of it. And it seems like there's a lot more of it coming from the "true conservatives", as of late.

It's not only possible to get your point across without juvenile insults, it's the grownup way to do things, and it's a hell of a lot better way to get people to listen to you.

But hey - if you're happy with one percent of the vote, then have at it. After all, who need anyone's vote, right?

I was talking about Fred Thompson.

I know.

Rudy is currently a leftist, regardless of his declaration that he's running for President.

Yes, it was a bad bill and Thompson voted for it. What’s your point?

I did fail to ping 68 grunt to the original post...my bad.

But if you go back and actually read it, you’ll see that I say that the first one to prove the other wrong with an actual link will be shown to not be the liar.

I simply posted to Bikr Bayb because she is the one making the claim.

That’s hardly animus. It’s simply trying to cut to the chase and put the wheel spinning behind us.

“Like the McCain-Fiendgold bill that Fred Thompson voted for????”

And he now says it’s failed and he’s leaning towards no limits with full disclosure?

Contrast that with rudy who still supports CFR.

I cannot in any good conscious, let hillary in because I don’t like who the GOP puts up.

Our system will NEVER, EVER, because of its structure let a 3rd party win.

This is why it’s just so important to make sure we get the right candidate in!

We’re bleeding now because of a split vote in the ‘06 elections.

Bad as it is with congress, when a president is chosen, because of his appointments and powers, his impact goes on long after he’s out of office.

This is why we need to do the right things now, so our party doesn’t transcend all the way to Democrat lite.

Are you suggesting that if I called you faggot that would be okay, as long as I’m a Rudy supporter, but because others who do not support Rudy and do not speak for me have called people foul names, I deserve to be called a name equally foul to “faggot?” Am I understanding you correctly on that?

Because one of them has done nothing that has been claimed. My only recourse is to call her a liar. That, and she lies a lot.

So it really isn't the insults that bother you per se, its who's doing the insulting.

Your only purpose in posting on FR appears to be slamming the site.

Ya ya, and your only purpose is categorizing and dividing FReepers.
