~~big snip~~
HANNITY: Let me move to the issue that has come up again this week, and that's the issue of immigration. And as somebody that hosts a radio show for three hours a day, and we've got our show on FOX and now our Sunday show, I can tell you it is a defining issue for conservatives in their desire. They want these borders controlled and they don't want amnesty in any way, shape, matter or form. And the consensus that keeps emerging is sort of amnesty-lite. They won't call it amnesty, but the feeling among conservatives is it is amnesty.
GIULIANI: Here's what we have to get done, and this comes from my expertise in security, law enforcement most of my life. I know that better than politics. I know security better than politics.
We have to know who's in the United States. We have to have a database in which we know who is here everybody who is here from a foreign country. We need to know it so we can prevent Fort Dixes. I know Fort Dix didn't quite happen that way. But the next one could happen that way.
And we need to have a tamper-proof ID card. So now your policy you have to set that. You've got to be clear about this. That's what we have to so now you have to have a policy that gets you there.
We need to know everybody who's in the United States from a foreign country. You need a fence. You need an electronic fence. You need a physical fence. You need a Border Patrol that is bigger and trained in being able to spot people and stop people.

“No liberal or RINO makes it through. Our plan is the Reagan plan. Run a conservative against the socialist democrats: We win, they lose.”
Why is it like pulling teeth to get enough people to understand this?
“If for some odd reason people wanted to hear you tell the story and would pay you to tell it would you take the money and tell the story? Would you even make it in to a business? Giuliani would.”
Rudy DID!!
His solution won't work anyway. Get the people to come forward? By what, giving them de facto citizenship, that’s you’re solution for getting them to come forward to be identified? How about enforcing the law, has anyone tried that yet?
He's also for databases tracking "tamper proof" means of ID. Of course, a database capable of tracking 20 million people is easily capable of tracking 300 million too. Then one has to wonder just what will constitute "tamper proof" when the ID fraud industry in Mexico gets fully cranking. 'Gosh, we have no choice but to make this foolproof. We can't be too careful. Besides, these aren't American citizens...'
But if they don't have a chip, how do we know they haven't entered illegally? How do we know that this job applicant is a citizen or is an illegal with a fake ID who didn't go back home to apply for legal entry and get his chip? Goodness, those power outages on our "virtual fence" just made an oopsie an a whole buncha illegals rushed in! How do we know that they're temporary workers or American citizens? Everybody without an ID is a citizen?
Your chip is ready and waiting, a number for your name.
I like your idea anything can do to help?
Names, we know who the “socialists democrats” are, who da good guys?
Just from a purely crass political perspective, I ask this question “How can McCain fight the War on Terror when he just so politically stupid?”
That said, whoever doesn’t lineup against this Shamesty doesn’t make the cut. If McCain doesn’t do a Mea Culpa ASAP then he is done. That goes for everyone running.
*Ron Paul is against amnesty*
He is also against the War on Terror.
I just don't trust any of the big three. Their defining moment for me is when they ran shrieking a way like little school girls from Ann Coulter's rehab joke.
Fred Thompson's reply to Michael Moore(on) last week makes me think he's the best and the boldest. Also I think he's the only one of any of the ten running who has an actual job. Sure it's acting but that's way, way more of a job then anyone in D.C has. And what does Rudy and Romney do anyway? They're like both unemployed politicians at the moment. Their only job is to run for POTUS.
“He just doesnt do straight answers, does he?”
He ALMOST DID, HERE, caught himself just in time.....”I was part of the committee that “.....I saw this live and was disappointed but not surprised he didn’t say whatever the rest of that sentence was going to be......of course it went over Hannity’s head....
“I was part of the committee that “ whoops! rudeeeee close call!
GIULIANI: Sure. I’m comfortable with that. I think that it can’t be a litmus test. First of all, I don’t think there should be any litmus test for judges. I’m a lawyer. I’ve practiced in court. I’ve argued in the Supreme Court, one time, not as often as my friend, Ted Olson, but I got to argue once in the Supreme Court. It was one of the highlights of my career.
I’ve argued in many of the appellate courts all throughout the country and different state courts. You can’t have litmus tests. It’s a false thing. I’ll tell you why. A judge has to be open to listen to the facts of the case.
And some little thing could throw it off. You think you’re going to decide one way and now you hear a fact and it’s a really important one and it changes your decision-making.
What you need to know about a judge and I would know how to do this from my experience of appointing lots of judges, hiring many, many lawyers, and watching the Reagan judges get appointed.
long pregnant silence at the hyphen:
I was part of the committee that I was dealing with the U.S. attorneys and the U.S. marshals, but I watched most of those appointments. You select people on general approach and general philosophy.
Do they seek the meaning of the Constitution or are they going to try to legislate it? Do they understand the difference between being an Article III judge and a legislator?
If you don’t understand that difference, there’s more at stake than just any one case. Our liberty is at stake. Our democracy is at stake. If judges start legislating, you and I have no control over that. We don’t get to vote for them. We don’t get to vote for them every two years...
In other words, he is done. At least these losers are making it easier for us.
And yet Hannity still smooches his butt.
Sean, your whole “man of the people” routine is just so much crap.
Yup and Hanity is carrying his water. Too bad I liked Hanity.
Well neverhillorat, I don’t think you should force Jim into saying, but we do know this:
We know Jim’s favorite is Fred or Hunter. And we know that Rudy is a definite no. In a previous post, Jim said McCain and Romney are barely tolerable.
But why don’t we test the mood of the Freepers here? Can we do a daily vote them off the island poll? We can take Fred and Hunter as givens, and we can eliminate Rudy (and I dare say McCain — not my call) as a given and go from there.
P.S. Full disclosure, I do lean towards Mitt.
Do I have what you are saying right, You want to kill the illegals?
Since there are an estimated 11 million illegals, and Hitler killed 6 million Jews, does not that make your plan twice as bad as his master race plan?
You need to take it back to the drawing board.
....Bob
1. Enforce the Borders. Stop them from coming in.
2. Keep the ones here still illegal. Don’t legitimatize them. These are never eligible for citizenship and their employers will be heavily fined. The only thing will give them is a free ride home whenever they are caught.
3. Give only temporary worker permits (like we do for Seasonal harvesting) to those who are NOT currently in our country. Temporary workers are not eligible for citizenship either.
4. No credit is give towards citizenship for being here illegal or through the guest worker program. We institue different criteria for citizenship to bring only those with high end job skills to this country.

Big snip, clear acceptance! Bye bye Rudy!!!
