Good for you. In March of 2005 we found out who the real pro-life people were in this country.

We also found out that many politicians want to pay lip service to the sanctity of life, but take no actions to defend it.

The Republican turmoil of today in my mind is linked to that moment of truth in Florida almost three years ago.

Yeah and Hillary/Obama can always pull out the good-old executive order! I don’t think some of the people doing all the talking about Hillary or Obama in there not being a bad thing, know what they are asking for. We could get more conservatives in there, but what if we don’t? There is always Venezuela for example. Look how many years Chavez has been in there! He didn’t start out in the position he is in now. He’s taken over so many things in the last 5-6 years. Hillary (and Bill) could get in there again, and do a lot of damage they weren’t able to finish doing before. That’s scary! Also very scary if we have the leadership in Congress we have now, and more get voted in to join them.

Personally, I’d feel a little better if there were more conservative Democrats in there. I might not agree with them on some things. But I’d feel a lot better if there were more Zell Miller types, or Leiberman types, or some of those other Reagan Dems. that were in there once upon a time!

and the Iranians bring a nuke to NYC, what will you do then?

That scenario is plausible since McNut believes in open borders.

It was Republicans who gave him the nomination by voting for him in the primaries.

Independents and crossover liberals put McCain to the top. Then you had a Christian socialist running interference for McCain by sucking away the evangelicals. Get rid of open primaries and there wouldn't be a McCain.

Yup. He’s staunchly pro life. He was one of five senators who didn’t do earmarks last year.

It really doesn't matter. The numbers (voters) and money aren't there for McCain. The base isn't behind him and all the independents and moderates that voted for him in the primaries are going to vote for Hillary/Obama. So it doesn't matter if conservatives "rallied" around McCain, he can't get the cross-over Dems and independents to vote for him.

You might as well call it a night and stock up on gunpowder, gas, and supplies. There will be a Rat in the WH no matter how hard you bloviate at those damn conservatives for "staying home."

Under Obama, Clintor, OR McCain, the cancer that now infests us, illegal immigrants, will certainly grow, metastisize and create far far more of a problem than the nuke in NYC scenario you hypothesize. As for taking our money, Well, from experience, I think both parties have collectively shown in the recent years, they have an insatiable lust to spend more; it’s gotta come from somewhere and po’ peoples don’t got it my friend.

I’ve known what you’re saying for some time now. Yet, these die-hard appeasers are really stretching, hurting even, trying to justify and rationalize the impact of the bit-by-bit lowering of expectations over the last 6-7 years of just exactly how shitty the Republicans in the WH, Congress and Senate have become. The ‘conservatives with principles’ will get blamed for McCain’s loss, but he and the R’s were doomed well before anyone EVER announced.

You’re all one step away from being as irrelvant as the Far Left.

Far Right “Conservatives” have a critical weakness. Its the air between their ears.

Former President Bush endorses McCain

And I should give a s***, why????

A cadaverous old President endorsing the cadaverous candidate of a now cadaverous, old party.

Read my lips, Papa Bush senior, John McCain can kiss my a** before I ever vote for him.

“Some people don’t realize we’re in a war and would allow someone who will get us defeated to take over,”

I've got to agree with you about that statement being a lot of baloney. Plus, if things get ugly with Russia over Kosovo, though I hate to say it, I think McCain would do the stupid thing and get us further involved militarily. Though I support the military, a true conservative knows not to piss away our military power over things that are no business of ours, such as KOSOVO. John McCain, I fear, would allow us to be drawn into conflicts unimportant to US interests.

"The Republican turmoil of today in my mind is linked to that moment of truth in Florida almost three years ago."

There were people from all over the U.S. and the world in 2003 and in 2005. They'd show up and ask, "What can I do?" In 2005, there was nothing anyone COULD DO. The party was more important than Terri Schiavo's life. The Republican Party, that is.

I have the photo of the SKYWRITING PLANE that flew over Hospice. It said "Governor Greer or Governor Jeb?" When the plane flew over, everyone applauded and laughed AT JEB.

Embryonic stem cell research does not comport with staunchly pro-life. He’s barely pro-life and he hates conservatives and even moderates. McCain’s a socialist-hawk.

McCain is looking more like he’s from a wax museum. He’s like the GOP’s version of Michael Jackson. I don’t see how he can make it through the rest of the campaign. I think people endorse him so they can be on stage w/him in case he tips over. He does not look well at all. These kids with their crazy dreams! He’s not gonna win and maybe that’s the plan.

Huckabee was on CNN tonight and he said he's not getting out because then nobody would be presenting issues that are important to the future of this country, pro-life issues, securing the border, the economy.

Obama, Clinton and McCain are all singing from the SAME SCORE.
