His running was completely legitimate. If McCain had to work a teensy bit harder, then that might just toughen him up for the big fight against the Democrat nominee.

That's what I thought. And, no matter what gets pinned on Huckabee, compared to any Democrat, or especially an Arkansas Democrat, he is so clean he squeaks!.

Huckabee has a lot of class. Too bad he didn't do better.

Think he would have made a fine President.

I am sorry to see him go, and I think he had a lot more in the cojones department than his rivals, who simply stepped aside and let McCain be annointed.

He is fun to badmouth. Don’t worry, he will make plenty of money from his book and won’t worry about how us Freepers feel... or, the good of the nation.

I don’t know. It looks terrible. Bash Huckabee all you want, but now we are stuck with John McCain

Huckabee is the REASON we are stuck with McCain.

“...refrain from abusive attacks...”

(And don’t smoke in my workplace.)

I could go on to ask what kind of “character” it takes to make character assassination of conservative, God fearing posters who speak positively about conservative, God fearing candidates in a conservative, God fearing forum a hobby, but I’d rather leave such a distasteful subject in the dust.

Great. Now we stuck with the McCaindidacy of a RINO who can only be depended upon to support liberal causes.

Can someone explain why everyone on this thread is badmouthing Huckabee and what they hope to accomplish doing it?

Scripture answers that question quite clearly:

"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. Ror, if ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for My name's sake, because they know not HIM that sent Me."
Jesus AD33, (John 15:18-21)

Not a Hucakbee supporter, but McAmnesty ‘winning’ makes me want to barf. However, a liberal, globalist republican getting annihilated in the upcoming general election will be the best thing for the once-great GOP in the long run.

I don’t get it either. Huckabee gave a heck of a good speech and off the cuff too. He’s a great speaker and I’ll miss that. Yes, he should have gotten out earlier, but he followed through and did what he said he would do.

In this video, Huckabee simultaneouly criticizes other campaigns while proclaming his own as "honorable."

Can you see the contradiction?

One of these days the Huckster supporters who have never lived under his governorship will come to understand why we actively tried to educate them on his more liberal than conservative history in office. We have to purge the RINO’s from the party if the party is ever to become a voice for conservatism.
