I’ll go back to the ages of the children. If the youngest is still in infancy, it could be a post partum depression. For alot of women, their yearly gyne appointment is their only medical care. Ob/gyns are trained in defining PP and clinical depression. Regulating her brain chemistry could go along way to treating her other problems.

I am talking as a dance teacher here! I don’t want anyone to take unless they want to! Unless it’s who they are and what they want. Otherwise, it’s a total waste of time. It’s too hard for the uncommitted.

I would assume he was talking about social dancing. I am a decent to very good social dancer depending on the dance and have no interest in competing.

Two of my students are ballroom dancers....it’s been interesting trying to teach them-— some things come easy, others are a struggle.

I love to watch it, but I literally am so bad at it that it’s not funny....OK, it is funny.

I just have to add (adding delicious calories being the operative here) that your tagline has made me crave Twinkies...(me--see the word Twinkie--want one). I will be grocery shopping later on and there will be a Hostess selection in my buggy...

So the relationship was based on her hot looks or thinness from the beginning as far as he’s concerned? So if something happened to him...oh say he ages really bad or is injured, get burned, goes bald, something like that, his wife has the green light? The vows of in sickness and health, for better OR WORSE, forsaking all others, don’t mean anything under certain conditions?

Damn. I never knew the marriage vows were conditional. I really hate H farting all the time. Find it very unattractive. Going to find me a man on the side woo-hoo!

Doesn’t matter whether a lot of women just plain disagree with Laura. What she said is true. The messenger does not affect the truth of the message - though some, prone to insulting people with terms like “you sound like a liberal”, may be blinded to the message because of the messenger.

Calling you a "liberal" insults you? Hey, I was just stating a fact. Doesn't matter whether or not you disagree with me. What I said is true, and you disliking the messenger doesn't affect the truth of the message.

Great argument, isn't it?

What is it about what Laura said that bothers you so much?

A man promises to fulfill natural, powerful needs only with his wife ... and if she neglects to satisfy those needs long enough, depression & desperation can pressure him to do stupid things to fulfill those needs _somehow_.

As another poster observed, that this fact freaks out many women sheds light on their character.

Lets see, anal sex without a condom counts as a demeaning act in my book— and extremely unsafe in the hookers....especially if you do it with the hooker and then trot home to wifey....

I think any man that desires anal sex has a psychological problem verging on that of a rapist.

I think its pure and simple about power and dominance and has nothing to do with intimacy. I'm no PhD (likely a big plus in this case), but given the beauty of the female that God has given man, I can't imagine any other reason for it.

I think some men go to prostitutes trying to fill their need for sexual intimacy and some men go to prostitutes because rape is illegal and they aren't there yet. Spitzer, given the rest of his life's work, strikes me as the latter.

The second creepiest thing about Spitzer’s hooker is that she’ looks a lot in age and coloring to his daughters.

That just made me ill.

Ah, another liberal question and response. What Laura said bothers me. I couldn't possibly just disagree with her. She freaks me out and this speaks to my character. I don't agree with her or you, so now my character is suspect.

I've stated in numerous posts in this thread why I disagree with Laura. You refuse to acknowledge that and resort to the liberal ad hominem. Next thing I know you'll be telling me I'm Lauraphobic.

LOL. You know, "Lauraphobic" does sound a bit like an antibacterial laundry detergent.

I didn’t ask why you disagree with Laura.
I asked about what she _said_ on this particular issue.
I don’t care who the messenger is.
I’m wondering why the message upsets you so much.

And yes, your character is being revealed in this exchange. Insulting application of charged labels where plainly inappropriate, hostile responses to polite comments/questions, dancing around the core issue, focusing on the exact words used instead of the meaning intended, accusations of ad hominems, predictions of insults where none were indicated...just stick to the thread subject, would you please?

If a man needs something which he has sworn to only go to his wife for, and she fails to provide it, isn’t it understandable (albeit still wrong, contemptable, evil, vile, etc.) if, pressed by a deep-seated physiological need, he gets that need met elsewhere? (and please don’t go on attacking me, I’m looking for a discussion of this question - not the messengers - and why the idea in the question upsets certain people so much.)
