Wake up Conservative Base!

Posted on 05/10/2008 9:11:06 AM PDT by RonnieFan

All indications are the Democrats will pick up seats in both the House and Senate, with the Senate likely being a couple of RHINOs away from the magic 60. McCain is no Reagan but he's the only thing standing in the way of the most liberal Senator in Senate becoming President with a clear majority in Congress and at a critical time with decisions to be made on the war on terror, the war in Iraq, heath care, taxes, illegal immigration and likely the Supreme Court.

Sometimes you do have to pick the lesser of two evils. This is one of them. I am fully aware that I'll be let down by McCain on some key issues but I know I'll be let down on all of them if Obama is President.

...BTW, I think we have quite a few deep cover trolls here at FR. I confronted one that actually equated John McCain's military record with John Kerry's....

Well, I for one am certainly not a troll and I stand with people tired of McCain and his penchant for kissing liberal ass. I won't vote for him and I don't think it's a tragedy in remembrance to your students who lost their lives. I served at a time of turmoil and trouble and I believe our soldiers will prevail. Would you have asked them to give up their principles that had been back-stabbed ever since McCain figured he wanted to be president? He says what he will do to please you. He WILL do what he does to please himself.

We all wept then.

What, exactly, do you intend to do to stop or slow the impending marxist disaster>

Save the Republic.

I plan to vote for a conservative for POTUS, and more conservatives in the downticket races. In those downticket races, if those conservatives happen to be Republicans as well, I will still vote for them in spite of that one glaring problem.

Is compromise a conservative value?

It can be. But, the last time I looked, a republican senator playing Monica to Teddy Kennedy was never.

I agree. It's a personal decision if anyone can't bring themselves to vote for McCain, but to try to dissuade members at a conservative website to also not vote for him, is suspicious. I've said that I wouldn't, and I hate and resent that I feel I'm being cornered into doing, but the more I envision Obama in the White house, the more I feel I'm going to have to vote for him, and pray we can find a way to hold his and the Congress' feet to the fire on immigration. Because the fact is, with a 'rat President and Congress, we'll lose not only on immigration, but on gun rights and other rights. I just wish there was a way to make it clear to the Republican leadership, that our votes for McCain are not an endorsement of his immigration or global warming stances, because I know that when he wins, they're going to try to spin it that way.

That said, it will come down to Obama or McCain

Nope, it will be Hillary vs. McCain.

and they don't count votes not cast. As of now, I intend to write in Duncan Hunter. If an alternative candidate shows up that us discarded GOP voters can get behind to make a point, I will get behind that candidate. My vote counts for the person I vote for, no one else.

I suspect that many, like myself, will vote for congressional and judicial candidates anyway and in all probability will vote an anti-mccain write-in protest. Mccain is too volatile a candidate who will lead this country into disaster from within. As for barry, congress and the courts will check that little novice.

“We’re wide awake and have been for years. Only takes a few shivs between the shoulder blades with that motherf*****’s fingerprints on the handle to open your eyes.

Screw McCain, and screw anyone trying to coerce, threaten or cajole a vote for that bastard. He doesn’t deserve it.”

Amen, brother! I couldn’t have said it better!

My plan is to fire the entire staff at the RNC, or form a new Conservative base from scratch. WE do that with our money. If you are dumb enough to keep sending the RNC money or devote your time to support their RINO agenda, then you aid and abet their Leftist criteria.

Change only happens when change happens. It takes dedication and resolve to make them happen. If you keep on supporting them hoping they will change later, then it is already too late. You will be greatly disappointed.

It has come to this......Enough is enough! Time to turn off the lights and start over.

ADDITIONAL REMINDERS:

.........................................................

Quote from Barack Obama’s book, Dreams Of My Father:
“THE PERSON WHO MADE ME PROUDEST OF ALL, THOUGH, WAS MY [half brother], ROY..HE CONVERTED TO ISLAM”.

From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “IN INDONESIA, I SPEND TWO YEARS AT A MUSLIM SCHOOL” “..I STUDIED THE KORAN..”

From ‘Audacity of Hope: “LOLO (Obama’s step father) FOLLOWED ISLAM....”I LOOKED TO LOLO FOR GUIDANCE”.

From ‘The Audacity Of Hope, “I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS OF WAR SHIFT IN AN UGLY DIRECTION..”

From The Audacity Of Hope, “WE ARE NO LONGER JUST A CHRISTIAN NATION, we are also a Jewish nation, a MUSLIM NATION, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.”

HATRED OF WHITES:
From Dreams of My Father, “ I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE”. Barack Hussein Obama

From ‘Dreams of my Father’, “The emotion between the races could never be pure, even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race (WHITE) would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart.” Barack Hussein Obama

From Dreams Of My Father: “That hate hadn’t gone away,” he wrote, BLAMING “WHITE PEOPLE — some CRUEL, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.” Barack Hussein Obama

From ‘Dreams Of My Father’, “There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote. “It remained necessary to prove which side you were on,to show your LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT and name names” Barack Hussein Obama

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!
A WHITE CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED FOR MAKING SUCH STATEMENTS!!!

Well, let’s wake up and demand a new horse in this race!!!

We have a little less than four months to the convention. This is the only time can influence events.

McCain was not nominated by a majority of Republicans across the nation. Most had not even voted yet when he was coronated. His support came during open primaries when who knows who voted for him?

He wants “comprehensive immigration reform” read AMNESTY, he will speak at La Raza’s convention in July, he won’t drill in ANWR, he believes in globaloney and wants a cap and trade system, and he levelled a broadside at the NC GOP, which was on his side. This all in the last two weeks!!

Hello in there!!! Wake up BASE!!!! This guy is gonzo!!!

We can hope all we want, but the die is cast. He has screwed us before, and he intends to keep on doing it. Why not, we don’t protest. Pass the vaseline!

If the stakes are so high, and they are, why are we running this clown? Why are we HOPING he won’t be as bad as he is telegraphing?

The GOP Stockholm Syndrome Sisters can support McCain all they want, but you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.

Time to ditch McLoser before he causes anymore damage. An electorate poised for “change”, and the anti Bush, anti GOP sentiment that is out there, will hose McCain in the general to a Dukakis like result.

If I don't vote Constitution Party, I'll be writing in Lou Barletta's or Joe Arpaio's name. For the first time, since 1984, when I voted to re-elect Ronald Reagan, I will actually vote for a candidate, not for some candy ass who's best claim for my support is that though he's crap wrapped in skin, his opponent is a bigger piece of crap wrapped in skin.

“I confronted one that actually equated John McCain’s military record with John Kerry’s.”

I won’t do that because there is no comparison. However, I shall say that McCain crashed/lost five, that’s FIVE, count ‘em, aircraft and retained his “wings” and flight status. Do you know of any other fighter pilot like that?

At best, he is a prima donna or thinks he is.

Okay, RonnieFan. I turned 18 in 1984. I was fortunate to be able to vote for Ronald Reagan that year. Since then my choices have been:

- 1988, George H. W. Bush
- 1992, George H. W. Bush
- 1996, Bob Dole
- 2000, George W. Bush
- 2004, George W. Bush
- 2008, John McCain

Enough, I say. If you want me to vote for a Republican, he or she had better be a conservative. By that I mean a conservative that honors and respects ALL of the United States Constitution. A conservative that values individual responsibility; one that is disdainful of government solutions for all societal ills. A conservative that will reduce the size and scope of Federal government. One who will value indiviual freedom over public safety. One who will secure our borders and ensure that our trade with foreign nations is both free and fair.

John McCain is none of those. After 20 years of voting for wishy-washy pantywaists who favor open borders, eviscerate our military and who do nothing but increase government intrusion, I’ve had enough. The Republican party in general, and John McCain in particular, can stick it where the sun doesn’t shine.
