Operation Freep Palin- Counter the Attack (update @219- small, token gifts OK)
Vanity

Several posters have mentioned this over the past week, but I want to bring it up again. Governor Sarah Palin is under attack from both the right (faux right) and the left, blaming her for McCain's loss.

We all know the truth- few of us could ever have supported McCain without her.

Freepers, it is time to counter the attacks and encourage Governor Palin. Let's overwhelm her with thank-you cards, letters, flowers, etc.

Here is what you can do:

Absolutely right. The left fears her more than any other conservative politician. She has shown that she can walk over hot coals without flinching, a tough, smart, principled woman - and that terrifies them.

Just before the election, I wrote a letter to Sarah’s mother in Wasilla. It said simply: “Thank you for Sarah. May God bless the Heath and Palin families.”

Love the bumper sticker. We haven’t had a conservative orator like her since Reagan. Just heard Mark Levin’s podcast from this week where he replayed Reagan’s 1964 speech supporting Goldwater. I have heard Reagan speak so many times, but every time he WOWS me. This was the speech where he said: “A Government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life that we’ll ever see on this earth.” Our children and grandchildren will be quoting Palin in years to come.

I’m going to send her a nice card. AND I think I’ll send her and her family a Christmas card too.

I don’t think Sarah needs chocolate right now. What I think we need to do is save your money for the fight ahead. If you want to give to her, we need to invite her to chat at free republic and ask her personally what it is she would like us to do. Also, there are freepers preparing now to join forces and get the 60 million conservative voters of the nation prepared for the next election in 2 years. Search them out, they are doing their gathering in general interest chat. I think the administrators need to come up with a separate from news link for ACTIVISM and for us to get on ping lists to keep informed. If we flooded our own LOCAL newspapers with letters to the editor thanking her, that would get everyones attention.

Just saw where an attorney for the RNC has been dispatched to Alaska to “inventory” Sarah’s clothes. What a ridiculous embarassment our party has become.

My simple solution is to drop my GOP registration and become an Independent until a real conservative option surfaces.

I thought about doing this before, but this time may be the charm. The reason I have difficulty changing parties is that I can't seem to shake the image in my mind of the GOP as representing conservative values. And I figure I have more of a chance of influencing the party from within than from without in a non-viable party. Any words of wisdom to get me to jump off the diving board?

I just received an email from the MCain-Palin campaign, and Joh and Cindy thanked me for my hard work. There is a section where you can click to unsubscribe, and helpfully leave a comment why. I told them how low and despicable McC was , using Sarah and then letting his peeps slime her. Made me feel better!

I would rather find out who these people are and push them out. This is OUR party

I don’t trust the Republican party anymore. You never know who you are talking to there are so many RINOs in play. And if I were Sarah Palin I would come back with a vengeance and win it for the people.

I just wrote an e-mail to fox news making fun of them. I wrote:

[On the panel discussion with the Fox News All-Stars, I think they should discuss why Fox News reporter Carl Cameron was acting like a giddy school girl with
unsupported and unsourced sexist attacks on Sarah Palin. Fox News can refer to themselves in third person like CBS did with the Rathergate scandal. It would be great fun.]

Maybe that is exactly what we should all do! Have a mass change in voter registration, changing to independent. Beside the fact I am hearing too many people saying the GOP should stay clear of the conservatives and be more center. I am going to find out today when I can go in and change my party registration and ask my friends to do the same. Too many people didn’t like McCain because he was NOT a true conservative but better than Obama. Where is McCain now with all this crap being said about Sarah????? Maybe he had courage years ago but not so much now that he’s lost. And Sarah is the scapegoat.
