A :"If I had to convince someone to vote for Barack ? (DEEP THINKING HERE) I would tell them,(MORE THINKING) basically I would just tell them it's time for a change"

ANOTHER ONE A: It's time for a change, someone new in office, someone black Q The fact that he's black you like? Are you aware that he's half black? You think he might just do half stuff good? A :He stand for equality, he stand for peace, you know and he stand for change, you know and I think allot of people are ready for change in this society Q One more thing, what is your favorite thing that he is going to implement?? For crying out loud, let's start with the basics -- you need a pulse to vote. And you can vote once and only once.

After those basics, you must:

  1. Own property
  2. Pass a civics test
  3. Never been convicted of a felony
  4. Vote on election day only (no early voting, unless you can prove need for an absentee ballot)
  5. Produce legally valid identification
  6. Be 25 or 30 years old (People must toil in the "real world" for a while to truly comprehend the horrendously corrosive nature of the all powerful state)

Republicans re-authorized Voting Rights Act as is, in fall 2006, which required voting places to supply ballots in foreign native language, This was one of the many sellouts that brought republicans down, 2006+2008, and guess what? The mexicans that voted in Spanish voted for Obama, big surprise!

Great video. What an inspiring leader, talking about freedom and liberty and how, if we lose freedom in the U.S., there is nowhere else on earth for people to escape to. You never hear about these ideals any more in political discourse and we are much poorer for it. Of course, in 1964 Reagan was speaking to an educated electorate that deeply cherished those ideals.

By the way, you posted an incorrect link. Here's the correct link: Ronald Reagan Speech 1964.

I will blame everyone of these people when another attack from Obama’s friends come to our shores..This time 9/11 will look like a small affair..then maybe the idiots will know what they did..

We stand a good chance of losing at least one of our sons when it happens. Our older son commutes to work in Manhattan; our younger son lives and works in D.C.

I pointed this out to my wife as a reason to vote against Obama; she though I was nuts. Please God, let me be wrong this time.

“Does anyone agree with me that passing a basic civics test, producing an ID and having a job should be requirements for voting?”

Not a bad idea, but even that won’t cure prejudice.

Own property

I believe when owning property was a requirement for voting, the only tax on citizens was the property tax. How about "pay taxes"?

Lets all pray to God for his help in keeping these terrorist away from this country..And I pray for your sons..

I think the next attack will be in California..just my opinion..They won’t be attacking Washington because all of their supporters work there in Congree and Senate and also their new elected master Obama..It could be the coast of Texas since there is where the oil refineries are..

The good news is that they’ll get jobs. They may not be the jobs they envisioned, such as earning CEO pay for watching the Lifetime Movie Network and Oprah, but they will be jobs. Like on an assembly line in an unheated northern warehouse during winter, stitching gloves for the masses, and getting paid in vouchers good for one loaf of bread a week, or a pair of gloves.

After all, someone has to generate the wealth before it’s redistributed.

What’s to prevent him from more terms? The Constitution? The House? The Senate? McCain? The Supreme Court - he can expand its membership to get the majority he wants.

He’s in charge, and all of the above entities are on his side.

Makes sense as long as you make it “pay income taxes.” And make sure somebody it is a real net tax payment, too. I could see somebody owing $1,000 in taxes get a $1,500 EITC (ie, welfare payment). If you are sucking the government teat, you don’t vote.

Obama ran his campaign as an unabashed leftist.

Point #2,645,435 that the media won't discuss. If Obama was elected by an abundance of folk who wanted the chance to make a "historic"vote, and to "help ease race relations", then they weren't electing him for his policies.

In socialist countries, no one generates wealth; only poverty is redistributed.

Nah. They’ll just blamed the attack on George Bush. Trust me, it will be his fault one way or another. Obama will never take the blame and his followers will never admit that he caused or allowed a terrorist attack.

You are giving them way too much “intelligence credit”. LOL

..They’ll just blame (the attack on) George Bush...etc...
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Now you have it.
EVERYTHING bad (or seemingly bad) for the next 4 years will be Bush/Cheney fault.
IF BO gets reelected, all the wrongs will be blamed on the infidel that ran against him AND the hordes that voted against him.
Seeing as there are many people who DON’T own property, that shouldn’t be a mandate, but proving you work FOR the system (ie tax return for starters) scan a picture ID — one vote per picture — hell the ‘computer’ can record a check card payment on my bank statement within minutes of a transaction so a vote online would NOT be so out of line.
A pictured VOTER ID CARD should be mandatory.
